Discover the Diverse Hibiscus
The Hongcheon Hibiscus Arboretum was established to preserve hibiscus
and honor the love for hibiscus of Hanseo Namgung-eok.
Officially registered as a public arboretum in 2017,
it features a hibiscus variety garden, a hibiscus maze,
Hanseo Namgung-eok Square, and various hibiscus sculptures.
While hibiscus may seem to have only one form,
you can enjoy the fun of discovering flowers with different colors and shapes here.
In addition to hibiscus,
there are 16 themed gardens such as the Eulalia Garden and Fragrance Garden,
as well as paths, greenhouses, and a children's playground,
making it easy to explore the arboretum at a leisurely pace.
The forest library includes indoor spaces
such as a children's library, a book cafe, and exhibition rooms,
making it a great place to relax while enjoying flowers and nature.
Three Walking Courses with Hibiscus
If you want to fully enjoy the Hongcheon Hibiscus Arboretum,
follow the walking courses.
The courses are divided into three based on the time required.
The Hibiscus Path takes about 40 minutes,
the Healing Forest Path, which goes through the Hibiscus Nuri Path and various themed gardens, takes about 1 hour,
and the Complete Exploration Path, which covers the entire arboretum, takes about 1 hour and 30 minutes.
You can choose a course that fits your travel schedule or physical condition,
whether you want a short walk or a more leisurely exploration of the arboretum.
As you walk slowly along the hibiscus and through the forest,
you might lose track of time and enjoy a full circle of the arboretum.
