Discovering Forestable: A Unique Cafe Experience in Jincheon

A newly opened cafe behind Jincheon Police Station is currently very popular. Have you visited the Forestable warehouse cafe, known for its delicious bread? After hearing the buzz, I decided to check it out myself.

Upon arrival, I learned that Forestable was created through a rural unused facility utilization startup support project. This initiative aims to support aspiring entrepreneurs by utilizing idle facilities in rural areas, encourage the influx and settlement of outside personnel, and create new jobs, thereby revitalizing the community.
The location of Forestable was originally used as a rental warehouse for agricultural machinery. After undergoing remodeling, the long-unused space has transformed into a beautiful cafe. It’s a meaningful project that not only revitalizes our area but also provides new opportunities for entrepreneurs.
As I stepped inside Forestable for the first time, I couldn’t help but exclaim, “Wow!” The image I had of a cafe was usually cozy and quaint, but Forestable boasts high ceilings and spaciousness, creating a liberating atmosphere. The unique charm of the vast warehouse space, along with the delightful aroma of freshly baked bread and coffee, was simply perfect.
Forestable offers a variety of breads, particularly eye-catching are the rice-based bakery products. You can find ‘Rice Tigré’, developed by the Jincheon Agricultural Technology Center, as well as ‘Rice Financier’ and ‘Rice Salt Bread’.
In addition to these, there’s a wide selection of breads that would make any bakery proud. The refrigerated section also offers sandwiches and ready-to-drink beverages. As a bakery cafe, it’s a great spot for enjoying coffee after a meal, and many customers seem to come for both bread and coffee as a meal substitute.
Ordering is done via a kiosk, where you can also scan the bread for payment. The bread scanning feature was new to me, and I found it a bit unfamiliar. I would love to try it out next time!
Since I had a hearty lunch with a friend, I regrettably had to skip the delicious breads. Instead, we ordered drinks according to our tastes. The calm music in the spacious cafe made it easy to chat comfortably, no matter where we sat. The spaciousness truly added to the relaxed atmosphere.
Forestable has transformed an unused warehouse into a bustling and happy space. Located behind Jincheon Police Station, it’s easily accessible from both Jincheon township and the Chungbuk Innovation City area. If you’re looking for a hot spot in Jincheon, be sure to visit Forestable!
