In autumn, the 900m high Star Wind Hill transforms into a sea of purple, making it a representative landmark of Gochang! I visited the 6th Gochang Gamaksan Flower Star Journey. The stunning view created by the blue autumn sky, large white wind turbines, and the endlessly blooming Aster flowers offers a heartwarming healing experience.
Let's take a look at the scenery from my visit on the morning of October 8th! ^^
Gochang Gamaksan Star Wind Hill Flower Star Journey - Aster Flower Fields & White Wind Turbines
• Event Location: Gochang Gamaksan Star Wind Hill Area
• Main Attractions: Purple Aster flower fields, silver grass fields, Gamaksan Observatory, accessible sharing paths, and rainbow chair photo zones.
• Facilities: Comprehensive information boards, dedicated parking and shuttle buses, clean portable toilets, and standby ambulances.
Photo Zone Guide at Gamaksan Star Wind Hill
Everywhere you point your camera at Gamaksan creates a frame filled with emotions.
1. Apple-shaped 'Flower & Star Journey' Symbol Photo Zone
Take a photo with your arms open in the apple-shaped frame against the backdrop of the white wind turbines and blue sky!
2. Rainbow Chair & Starlight Photo Zone
Sitting on the colorful rainbow chair in the middle of the purple Aster flower field doubles the brightness of your photos.
3. Purple Bench at Baramjae Hill
The purple bench placed among the Aster flowers is perfect for capturing the essence of autumn.
4. Natural Dye Fabric Tent Photo Zone
Strolling through the fluttering natural dye fabrics in shades of purple and pink creates beautiful snapshots.
Enjoying the Accessible Sharing Path with Silver Grass
Across from the upper parking lot of Star Wind Hill, a scenic path lined with green pines and shimmering silver grass awaits you. This is the 'Gamaksan Accessible Sharing Path' that a friend missed last month due to the crowds.
• Comfortable Forest Path for Everyone: The accessible path is well-maintained with wide, flat wooden deck roads, free of stairs or steep hills.
• Consideration for All: The gentle slope allows families with elderly members or young children, as well as those using strollers or wheelchairs, to safely enjoy the beauty of the mountains and flowers.
• Connection with Nature: Walking under the shade of trees while breathing in the refreshing autumn air calms the mind and offers true healing.
If you plan to visit Star Wind Hill, be sure not to miss the breathtaking views of Deogyusan, Jirisan ridges, and Gochang town.
The purple beanbag resting area under a yellow canopy is like an oasis in the desert when you tire from wandering the vast hill!
Lying back on the beanbag and soaking in the autumn sun while gazing at the cool landscape below Gamaksan will be an unforgettable healing moment.
The purple container information booth at the event site offers various events and transportation conveniences for visitors.
• Shuttle Bus to Explore the Thousand-Year-Old Temple: After enjoying the flower waves at the top of Gamaksan, a shuttle bus operates to conveniently visit the serene thousand-year-old temple 'Yeonsusa' located at the foot of Gamaksan.
• Stamp Tour & SNS Certification Event: From 10 AM to 5 PM at the information booth, a stamp tour and SNS visit certification event are ongoing, so take beautiful photos and enjoy some fun and perks!
