YouTuber Sutaek Abducted and Assaulted by Used Car Dealer in Shocking Incident

A horrific incident occurred where YouTuber Sutaek, boasting a million subscribers, was abducted and brutally assaulted by a used car dealer. JTBC's 'Case Manager' reported the details of this event, which took place on October 26th in the underground parking lot of an apartment complex in Incheon.
During the two-hour ordeal, Sutaek was not only beaten but also threatened with phrases like, "It's easier to kill you and sell your organs." Thankfully, due to a prior report, he was dramatically rescued from a mountain in Chungnam, 200km away.
The incident unfolded around 10:40 PM on October 26th. According to reports, Sutaek was ambushed in the underground parking lot by two men, one in his 20s and another in his 30s, who proceeded to abduct and assault him.
Sutaek sustained severe injuries, including an orbital fracture, numerous bruises, and a fractured ring finger, requiring hospital treatment. An orbital fracture, the breaking of the bone around the eye, indicates severe facial trauma. The extent of these injuries suggests the brutality of the two-hour assault.
According to 'Case Manager,' the perpetrator and Sutaek had a client-dealer relationship. Sutaek had entrusted the dealer with his car, and later received notifications for unpaid fines and tolls, which he inquired about.
The dealer's behavior was suspicious from the start. On October 19th, he sent Sutaek an address, telling him to "come here to collect the money." The address led to a deserted mountain area, raising Sutaek's suspicion, leading him to refuse.
After Sutaek refused to go to the mountain, the dealer changed the location to the apartment parking lot. Sutaek's legal representative detailed the situation: "He parked the car in the access road, not in a parking space. Sutaek felt suspicious and didn't get in the car, and then he noticed someone hiding, wearing a hood."
Sutaek immediately called 112 (the Korean emergency number). "They realized he had reported them and took out a rope and started strangling him," the representative stated. While the call saved his life, it also enraged his captors.
During the transport, one assailant drove while the other repeatedly punched Sutaek in the face. The threats escalated: "They said, 'It's easier to kill you. It's better to kill you, sell your organs, and disappear.' They knew he had hundreds of millions of won, so they said he should die for that money."
The assault continued for two hours. The legal representative stated, "Sutaek was assaulted for two hours."
Sutaek's prior call to 112 was crucial. Police tracked the perpetrators and rescued Sutaek. They apprehended the suspects in a mountain area in Chungnam, 200km from the Incheon apartment.
This incident highlights the dangers of used car transactions. It began with issues related to fines and tolls incurred after Sutaek entrusted his car to the dealer. It's crucial to choose trustworthy dealers and have clear contracts.
The fact that Sutaek is a YouTuber with a million subscribers may have been a motive. The perpetrators mentioned "hundreds of millions of won," suggesting they targeted him believing he earned a lot of money.
The police have charged the perpetrators with abduction and attempted murder. Strangling, threatening to kill, and a two-hour assault indicate a clear intent to murder.
We hope for Sutaek's speedy recovery. He is currently hospitalized, suffering from severe physical injuries and likely significant psychological trauma. We applaud Sutaek's dramatic rescue and the police's swift apprehension of the criminals.
