Comedian Im Lala's Shocking Confession After Twin Birth: "This Must Never Happen Again"

After a harrowing experience rushing between emergency rooms, comedian Im Lala, just nine days after giving birth to twins, confessed to a near-fatal postpartum hemorrhage.
In a video released on the YouTube channel 'Enjoy Couple' on the 26th, Im Lala and her husband, Son Min-soo, expressed their gratitude for the concern and shared the urgent details of what happened.
"It was a postpartum hemorrhage, and thankfully, I'm recovering now after a blood transfusion and hemostasis," said Im Lala.
Son Min-soo described the situation: "When the postpartum hemorrhage started, we contacted the nearest emergency rooms, but none of them would accept her. We ended up having to go to the hospital where she gave birth, which took 30 to 40 minutes."
Im Lala added, "I fainted about 10 times during that time. I never thought the 'emergency room rejection' that I only saw on the news would happen to me."
Recalling the moment, she said, "The floor was covered in blood. My husband thought I had turned on the bathroom tap. But it was all blood."
Im Lala pointed out the structural problems in the postpartum care system, stating, "It was so shocking that I could only be treated at the hospital where I gave birth. In a life-threatening emergency, people could die because of 'gaps in the system.'"
She emphasized, "This isn't just a personal experience, but a realistic problem that Korean mothers can face. I hope this never happens again."
Having narrowly escaped death after the joy of holding her twins, Im Lala raised her voice: "What's the point of low birth rate measures if the lives of babies and mothers aren't safely guaranteed? This is a problem that really needs to change."
The commenter 'Snack' added, "It was such an urgent situation that people said she 'miraculously survived.' If the system doesn't function properly in a moment of life and death, it's not just an individual's misfortune, but a structural failure that society has ignored. I hope Lala and her husband's courageous revelation will be an opportunity to protect the lives of other mothers."
