The devil I met at Yangyang Small Cinema has moved in... a meeting of tears and laughter.

Today, my wife and I took a trip to Yangyang Small Cinema. Watching a movie in the cozy atmosphere that you can't find in large multiplexes was, as always, a special experience.

Our choice for the day at Yangyang Small Cinema was 'The Devil Moves In'.

The reason we chose it was simple: I kept hearing that short review, "I laughed and cried."

I was curious how funny and touching it could be to warrant such a reaction. And since I needed to go to Yangyang anyway because I was short on cabbage seedlings, I decided to catch a movie as well.

The movie starts with lighthearted humor. I chuckled at even the smallest jokes, and I even laughed along with the young audience members around me.

But before I knew it, the story gently tugged at my heart. Suddenly, a tear or two welled up. A strange rhythm of laughing, then crying, then laughing again continued. And that rhythm seems to be the charm of this movie.

The 'devil' in the title wasn't the scary being we imagine, but rather a character symbolizing reconciliation with the wounds of life.

Thanks to that, the movie felt more warm than scary, and it was funny one moment and serious the next.

As we left Yangyang Small Cinema, my wife and I said the same thing at the same time: next time, let's watch 'Zombie Daughter'!

If I had to summarize my thoughts in one line:

A small but weighty story seen in a small theater. I think it will stay with me for a long time.

I'm glad that Yangyang Small Cinema exists so that I can sometimes see movies that are released at the same time as the big theaters.
