The Seoul Metropolitan Government is recruiting 100 small beauty companies to participate in the 'Seoul Beauty Hub,' which offers support for overseas expansion, marketing, and market development from February 9 to March 4.

Starting from March and continuing through December, the program provides annual, tailored support for small beauty businesses based in Seoul.

This support goes beyond just exhibitions; it offers genuine opportunities for global advancement that lead to actual sales and exports.

What is the 'Seoul Beauty Hub,' and why is it noteworthy?

The 'Seoul Beauty Hub' is an integrated platform that supports overseas expansion, marketing, and market development all at once. Launched in June of last year, it connects businesses with one-stop support for marketing, distribution, and export assistance.

Rather than focusing solely on short-term exhibitions and promotions, the program's annual support is designed to lead to real sales growth and contract agreements.

Through this initiative, the Seoul Metropolitan Government plans to actively support the global expansion of small beauty companies.

What kind of support can participants expect?

This year, companies participating in the Seoul Beauty Hub will receive assistance in four key areas: overseas expansion, marketing, networking, and infrastructure.

Particularly, the overseas expansion support is designed to be accessible for companies with little export experience, focusing on generating their first overseas orders.

For overseas expansion, support includes export certification, intellectual property acquisition, participation in international trade fairs, and consultations with global buyers.

In marketing, support encompasses creating content by matching beauty influencers, live commerce on global platforms, and operating pop-up stores.

Networking opportunities include informational sessions with relevant agencies and exchange events with experts, associations, OEMs, and ODMs (at least quarterly).

Infrastructure support involves utilizing global marketing support offices and live commerce studios, as well as providing specialized consulting and practical training.

At the end of the year, the program will evaluate participation and performance to select 10 outstanding companies, offering them benefits such as priority selection for the next year's program and a dedicated exhibition space at the Seoul Beauty Hub for three years.

How are early-stage companies distinguished from growth-stage companies?

The Seoul Beauty Hub categorizes companies for tailored support based on their growth stage.

Early-stage companies are those established between February 9, 2023, and February 9, 2026, while growth-stage companies were established before February 8, 2023.

Among the total of 100 companies, 30 early-stage companies will be evaluated separately to ensure that even smaller companies with high growth potential can seize opportunities.

Additionally, from May 1 to October 27, a pop-up store will be operated in conjunction with the Seoul International Garden Expo, providing a 'real-world sales channel' that connects exhibitions to sales.

What are the application qualifications and benefits for outstanding companies?

The recruitment fields include general cosmetics, vegan cosmetics, inner beauty, and beauty tech, with a total of 100 companies to be selected.

However, companies involved in the distribution of imported cosmetics are excluded. Companies that realize social value, hold Hi-Seoul certification, or have completed the 'Seoul Beauty Business Academy' will receive preferential benefits.

How to apply?

Recruitment period: February 9 to March 4, 2026, by 6:00 PM.

Total recruitment scale: 100 companies (30 early-stage + 70 growth-stage).

Application forms can be downloaded from the Seoul City website.

Applications should be submitted online.

Seoul is committed to being a strong partner for promising beauty companies to leap into the global market.
