2026 Han River Paper Airplane Festival
October 10, Yeouido Hangang Park
The event will take place at the Nokmyeonsu Plaza,
with 700 participants being recruited on a first-come, first-served basis starting from 10 AM on September 19.
We will hold preliminary and final rounds in two categories: 'Distance Flying' and 'Duration Flying',
selecting a total of 49 winners.

Since 2009, the Han River Paper Airplane Festival has been held in Yeouido Hangang Park,
now celebrating its 16th year.
In addition to the paper airplane competition, various interactive experiences and attractions will be available.
How can you apply to participate in the 2026 Han River Paper Airplane Festival?
We are recruiting a total of 700 participants on a first-come, first-served basis.
Application Period: September 19 (Saturday) from 10 AM
Eligibility: Everyone, regardless of age or gender
Application Method:

⚠️ Note: Registration may close early due to limited spots.
The festival includes two competition categories: 'Distance Flying' and 'Duration Flying'.
Each category will have preliminary and final rounds.
In the Distance Flying category,
we will accept a total of 500 participants:
- Kindergarten: 100
- Elementary School Lower Grades: 200
- Elementary School Upper Grades: 140
- Middle/High School and Adults: 60
In the Duration Flying category,
we will accept a total of 200 participants:
- Elementary School Lower Grades: 100
- Elementary School Upper Grades: 70
- Middle/High School and Adults: 30
The City of Seoul has set this year’s participant limit to ensure a safe and enjoyable event.
The winners of the 2026 Han River Paper Airplane Festival will be selected based on international competition criteria,
with a total of 49 winners announced on the event day.

This year, we have also introduced on-site event competitions,
allowing more citizens to participate.
