During the 'Meet the Artist' sessions, there will be opportunities for discussion and Q&A along with the artist's exhibition commentary.
Kim Saerom's recent works reflect a balance between comfort and tension. In Cradle: When the Shaking Stops (2025), we see a figure sitting in a hammock, seemingly at peace. However, this balance can also be seen as a state of tension. The calmness might be a moment that could break at any time, stemming from a life that craves comfort, and perhaps, like the figure in the artwork, one finds themselves in circumstances that require leaning on something for support.
The 2025 Gongju Cultural Arts Village Relay Exhibition offers a chance to experience the diverse artistic worlds of resident artists. We look forward to your interest and visits.
