Recruiting Citizen Participation Group 'Drum Fans'

for the 2026 Seoul Drum Festival in May.

From parade performance groups to citizen planning teams,

we will provide various opportunities for citizen participation!

This year's festival will take place on May 16-17

at Dongdaemun Design Plaza (DDP).

The 2026 Seoul Drum Festival will be a citizen-led festival,

where citizens can participate and lead.

The city of Seoul is recruiting 'Drum Fans'

to ensure that anyone can be the star of the festival.

What is a Drum Fan?

A Drum Fan is a citizen participation group

that can directly engage in planning and operating performances

and programs at the Seoul Drum Festival.

They will have opportunities to contribute creatively

through various roles such as parade performance groups,

citizen planning teams, and operational support.

Participation Areas

In what areas can participants engage?

Drum Fans can participate in two areas:

① Seoul March 26 - Parade Performance Group

· Artist groups (around 10 teams)

· Clubs and individuals (around 100 people)

→ Participate in the parade performance group after percussion training.

② Citizen Planning Team

· Planning and producing SNS promotional content

· Planning and executing citizen experience programs

→ Receive mentoring from experts and a certificate of participation.

Opportunities and Benefits

What opportunities and benefits are there for participants?

Participants in the 'Seoul March 26' area

will be selected from around 100 citizens

who want to learn percussion,

receive specialized percussion training,

and perform on stage during the May parade.

The 'Citizen Planning Team' will gain experience in

content creation for SNS and planning and executing

experience programs.

Participants will also receive expert on-site mentoring

and a certificate of participation,

which will be beneficial for both festival experience

and practical skills.
