The Han River Historical Exploration is a walking program where you will hear stories about history, culture, and notable figures as you walk along the riverbanks.

It only takes about 2 hours for a historical stroll along the Han River!
Operating Period: April 20, 2026 - November 15, 2026
Operating Hours: Twice daily, from 10 AM to 12 PM and 2 PM to 4 PM
Duration: Approximately 2 hours
Please note that during June to September, only one session will operate in the morning.
What courses can you choose from?
The Han River Historical Exploration consists of 16 courses, with 8 on the north side and 8 on the south side.
Each course is designed to provide a multi-dimensional experience of history and culture centered around the stories of time, place, and people related to the Han River.
Key courses include Seobinggo, Songpa, Nodeul, and Mapo.
All courses are designed to be accessible, with rest facilities and good public transport connections, allowing most participants to join comfortably on flat terrain.
Some courses, such as Dongho and the National Cemetery, may have varying difficulty levels, so choose according to your fitness level!
Benefits of the Han River Historical Exploration include a stamp collection experience and commemorative gifts.
Each time you complete a course, the guide will stamp your collection, allowing you to document your journey.
The first 3,000 participants will receive a stamp book on-site.
Complete all 16 courses to receive a special commemorative gift!
How to make a reservation?
Reservations open on April 10 at 9 AM on a first-come, first-served basis.
Participants can register in groups of 5 to 15.
For those unable to visit, the 'Mobile Han River History Classroom' is available for seniors and people with disabilities, providing an engaging experience of the Han River's history and culture.
