Following the place name of Seokjeok, picture book storytelling was conducted with the concept of 'The Gaze of Stone' with four themes (Protected Tree, Seokjeok Elementary School, Seokjeok-eup Office, Janggok Village) in the Seokjeok area. Along with the publication of the picture book, a themed exhibition was held using the lobby of the Seokjeok-eup Office, and exhibition programs in which residents could directly participate, such as a Taegeukgi design stamp and filling in the Seokjeok-eup map, were operated, creating a form in which residents completed the exhibition space together. In addition, souvenirs such as companion stones and Taegeukgi keyrings were provided to residents who participated in the exhibition and experience, so that they could cherish the meaning of this event for a long time.
Through this event, the Seokjeok-eup Cultural City Project Promotion Team re-examined the place name and history of Seokjeok, and the stories of life embedded in the region, through picture books and exhibitions, thereby enhancing the cultural pride of residents and leading to their active participation as everyday heroes.
