Under the autumn sky, Hongseong's Hongju Eupseong Fortress, where history breathes.
On Saturday, October 4th, a special festival was held at Hongju Eupseong where you could enjoy the essence of the oldest Pansori school that developed mainly in the Chungcheong region!
I visited the 3rd Junggoje Festival.
At this festival, you could enjoy not only various performances by masters but also traditional food, crafts, and games that our ancestors enjoyed.
It was a time when the whole family could feel the beauty and excitement of tradition.

Choi Seon-dal Master Singer Lecture Concert
A lecture concert that unraveled the life and art world of Junggoje master Choi Seon-dal through informative lectures and dynamic performances!
Chungcheongnam-do Intangible Cultural Heritage 'Seungmu'
Simhayeongryu Seungmu, designated as Chungnam Intangible Cultural Heritage in 2000.
Lee Ae-ri's elegant and restrained dance moves evoked admiration from the audience.
Lee Dong-baek's Chunhyangga - 'Sarangga' (Love Song)
A representative scene from Chunhyangga, one of the five major Pansori stories.
The song filled with the love of Lee Mong-ryong and Chunhyang delivered a deep resonance of traditional sound.
Park Seong-hwan Master Singer 'Jeokbyeokga' (Song of the Red Cliff)
Park Seong-hwan, the only direct successor of Junggoje, continuing the tradition of master singers Lee Dong-baek and Jeong Gwang-su.
His performance captivated the audience with an overwhelming sound.
National Intangible Cultural Heritage Namsadang 'Eoreum' (Tightrope Walking)
