Basic Information and Reservation Tips
Taster House Hongdae Sangsu Branch is located on the 1st floor at 15-5 Wausan-ro, Mapo-gu, Seoul, just a short walk from the Sangsu area.
Operating hours are Monday to Friday from 18:00 to 24:00, and weekends from 17:00 to 23:00.
Parking is available nearby by searching for Mong Parking Lot, and both reservations and waiting are conveniently handled through Catch Table.

This visit marked a meaningful date with my husband, celebrating our 9th anniversary on December 31st.
It had been a long time since I last visited Sangsu, and being there on the final day of the year made the atmosphere even more festive.
Couples and families filled the streets, making it clear why reservations are essential on busy days like this.

Even though it was freezing outside, the moment I stepped inside, the warmth and coziness were immediately noticeable.

At the entrance, there is a hanger for coats, which was perfect for storing my thick winter padding.
Besides the bar seats, Taster House also offers table seating.
Square tables comfortably seat four people, while round tables are designed for couples.
If I visit again, I would love to try one of the round tables for a more intimate experience.

What We Ordered and How It Tasted
We chose several signature items, including mackerel sushi, crispy karaage, and abalone pasta.
To drink, we ordered draft beer along with a pine cone highball, which was my first time trying such a unique combination.
The highball had a refreshing pine aroma, while the mackerel sushi was deeply aromatic and satisfying.
The abalone pasta was rich and creamy, and the karaage stood out as exceptionally crispy on the outside and moist inside.
Without hesitation, I can say the karaage is a must-order here.

Every dish we ordered felt like a safe choice, reinforcing the idea that the signature menu items truly represent the restaurant well.
This visit left me eager to come back again, next time with friends, to enjoy another memorable evening.
