Where should we take our energetic dog, Yoran, for a weekend trip? After some thought, we decided on Majang Lake in Paju, which is known for its beauty!

My husband has a fear of heights, so I wasn't sure if he'd be able to handle the suspension bridge. But since he said he was up for it, we headed straight there!

There are several parking lots, but if you enter the first one you see, you'll have to walk quite a distance. We parked in parking lot 4 and had a considerable walk... Next time, I'll try to drive all the way to parking lot 1.

Upon arriving, what caught my eye more than the suspension bridge were the paddle boats and water bikes!

About 12 years ago, my husband promised to take me on a paddle boat, and he still hasn't! I was excited, thinking, 'Is today finally the day?!'

However, since I didn't do much research beforehand, I wondered if they allowed dogs on the paddle boat-like water bikes. That was my main concern.

The shimmering sunlight on the water (Yoonseul) was so beautiful. Yoran, what are you looking at?

We just walked straight to what looked like the ticket booth, and the staff kindly informed us that dogs are allowed! I was so grateful!

It seems like there's no set time limit, so you can ride for as long as you want. Perhaps it was because there weren't many customers that day?

At first, I held Yoran in my arms, then carefully put him down on the floor. I was ready to pick him up again if he got scared, but Yoran bravely went forward! What a brave dog!

I didn't take a picture, but he was even braver than my husband when crossing the suspension bridge, haha.

He climbed onto the small seat in front and sat there quietly! Yoran being quiet is something else, LOL!

Still, just in case, I securely fastened his sturdy harness and leash to the seat, holding onto it myself and keeping a close eye on him. The leash length was shorter than the area of the paddle boat, so there was no way he could fall off, but it's always better to be safe than sorry...!

Yoran was calm at first, but then he started going forward to look into the water, and exploring the back of the boat. He was having a great time!

My husband concentrated on steering the water bike, and I focused on Yoran, so I didn't take many pictures, haha.

We had a great time riding the paddle boat water bike with Yoran, and we got hungry, so we searched for a dog-friendly restaurant nearby. It was less than a 5-minute drive away – really close!

It was called Chulleongdari Noodles, and it was great that they had set menus. I had spicy noodles (Bibim Guksu), and my husband had anchovy noodles (Myeolchi Guksu), and we shared dumplings. Both were delicious, but I preferred the spicy noodles.

We were seated at a private table in what felt like a garden, with a great view. It was comfortable because Yoran could roam around, and the noodles were delicious.

It was a last-minute search, but it was a complete success!

The lake walking trail was well-shaded with trees, and the breeze was nice and cool, making it perfect for a stroll. There were also plenty of benches, pavilions, and gazebos to rest.

We're finding ourselves drawn to the suburbs more than the busy city... I guess that means we're getting old...?? LOL

It was a wonderful weekend trip to Majang Lake in Paju with Yoran! ♡
