Discover Imshil Cheese Theme Park in May
May is a wonderful month to explore! I recently visited the Imshil Cheese Theme Park, a unique space where you can experience the living history and culture of the Korean cheese industry.
Starting with two goats in 1960, Father Jijeong-hwan laid the foundation for Imshil cheese. The Imshil Cheese Village offers educational experiences along with various photo zones and activities, making it a perfect destination for a family trip this weekend. Enjoy delicious cheese and the beautiful Imshil Rose Festival.
The Imshil Cheese Theme Park, spanning approximately 65,705 square meters, features a rose garden, a cheese museum, Jijeong-hwan Hall, themed buildings, and a petting zoo. It is the only cheese-themed tourist site in Korea.
Beyond tasting cheese, visitors can immerse themselves in the stories and culture behind it. Make sure to visit with your loved ones and enjoy the happiness of the Imshil Rose Festival at the theme park.

Visitors can explore interesting information about various cheese types and their origins worldwide. The center visually details the cheese-making process, providing an immersive experience.
The Imshil Cheese Theme Park is not just about tasting cheese; it offers children an engaging way to experience the rich history and culture of cheese. With cute cheese-shaped figures and charming sculptures throughout the park, it’s a perfect spot for memorable photos.
Special cheese experience programs are available, such as stretching mozzarella curds by hand and making your own pizza topped with Imshil mozzarella cheese. The park also features a thrilling slide in the Wind Garden and a petting zoo where you can meet adorable animals like alpacas and peacocks.

In 2026, the first Imshil Rose Festival was held under the slogan 'Rose Festival with Cheese,' offering unforgettable experiences for visitors. At night, the rose garden lights up, creating a romantic atmosphere.
The park features a 'Four Seasons Rose Garden' and a 'European-style Rose Garden,' showcasing over 22,000 roses of 150 varieties, ensuring a stunning visual experience throughout the year.
