Hello!

These days, the wind is quite chilly, isn't it?

For those of you pondering over winter date spots, I want to introduce you to Gyeongju Donggungwon, which I recently visited and absolutely loved.

No matter how cold it gets outside, once you step inside Donggungwon, the warm greenhouse makes it a cozy place to enjoy a comfortable indoor date.

From the botanical garden to the insect ecology center and the unique bird park, you can enjoy it all in one visit. I noticed many families visiting with their kids as well.

Address: 74-14 Bomun-ro, Gyeongju, Gyeongsangbuk-do

Operating Hours: 09:30 AM - 07:00 PM (Last entry at 06:00 PM)

Closed on Mondays.

The entrance fee for Donggungwon is as follows:

Adults: 5,000 KRW

Teens: 4,000 KRW

Children: 3,000 KRW

If you use Naver Reservations or My Real Trip, adult tickets can go down to around 4,000 KRW.

Located within the Bomun Tourist Complex, it is easily accessible and there are many nearby spots to plan your itinerary.

The large indoor greenhouse has warm and humid air. The moment you step inside, you can't help but exclaim, "Ah~ it’s warm!"

Even though it's winter outside, seeing tropical plants inside gives a unique winter date vibe.

The main area of Donggungwon is filled with subtropical and tropical plants, making it a beautiful spot for taking photos.

There’s a reason why couples take pictures at every photo zone!

For those who think, "Insects? Aren't they scary?" you'll find it more interesting than expected!

They are actually quite cute, and the exhibits are educational yet fun, providing a unique twist during your date.

(When I visited, it was under maintenance.)

I only entered Donggungwon, but the bird park is definitely famous for its unique experiences.

You can interact closely with parrots and even feed them!

Note that the bird park has a separate fee.

While Donggungwon alone is quite fulfilling, if you're looking for a different experience, the bird park is also a great option.

Don’t miss the musical fountain at Bomun Lake in front of Donggungwon. It’s a performance fountain that dances to the music.

Although it can be a bit chilly to stand outside for long in winter, it’s perfect for a quick stop to enjoy.

After a relaxing time indoors, watching the fountain while feeling a slight winter breeze adds a more emotional touch to your date.

If you want to have a warm and leisurely date even in the cold winter, I highly recommend Gyeongju Donggungwon.

It’s a fantastic option for a full day date, with indoor relaxation followed by a stroll by the musical fountain and Bomun Lake.

If you're considering a trip to Gyeongju or a weekend date, make sure to visit!
