Hoam Museum of Art: Where Beautiful Gardens and Exhibitions Come Together.
Hoam Museum of Art is a private museum where you can feel the charm of a traditional Korean garden. It was named after 'Hoam,' the pen name of Lee Byung-chul, the founder of the Samsung Group.
Here, you can appreciate valuable Korean artworks collected by Chairman Lee Byung-chul over 30 years, along with modern art pieces by both domestic and international artists such as Naum Gabo and Kang Sukho.
Inside the exhibition halls, you can immerse yourself in the art and enjoy a relaxing experience, thanks to the serene beauty of traditional Korean architectural lines and the comfortable layout.
Stepping outside after your visit, you'll find the traditional garden 'Hee Won' and an outdoor exhibition space, offering a unique experience of encountering art in nature as you stroll through the grounds.
As you slowly appreciate sculptures and installations amidst the scenery of ponds, pavilions, and stone structures, the lingering feelings from the indoor exhibitions will gently transition into the natural surroundings.
With the changing light and shadows of each season, and the picture-perfect compositions of the garden, it's an ideal place to fill your day entirely with art.
Furthermore, starting November 4th, a new space by world-renowned contemporary artist Lee Ufan, 〈Silentium〉, will be opened within the 'Hee Won' traditional garden of the Hoam Museum of Art as a permanent exhibition.
