May is a season that makes you want to travel somewhere with family, as it is the month of family.
However, weekends often bring fatigue due to crowded tourist spots or busy city centers.
Many people seem to be looking for healing travel destinations near Daegu where they can enjoy a quiet and leisurely time without pressure.
HanGae Village, located in Seongju-gun, Gyeongsangbuk-do, is a traditional village that has preserved its old appearance for a long time.
As soon as you enter the village, you are greeted by serene hanoks and charming stone wall paths, making it a great place to walk slowly with family.
This is not a place for a quick tour, but rather a destination where you can walk with your family, enjoy the scenery, and naturally engage in conversations.
Starting your journey at the HanGae Village Tourist Information Center is recommended.
The center provides useful information for first-time visitors on how to explore the village.
In front of the information center, there are brochures about Seongju tourism and HanGae Village, as well as information about the Seongju Chamoe & Life Culture Festival.
As HanGae Village is a traditional village best explored slowly through its alleys, I recommend checking the village layout and walking paths at the information center first.
After gathering the information, you can enter the village and experience the true charm of HanGae Village with its tranquil hanoks and stone paths.
Walking deeper into the alleys, you will notice unique signs related to Seongju chamoe.
These small elements contribute to the local atmosphere, making it delightful.
The scenery visible between the eaves of the hanok and wooden pillars is so beautiful that I paused to admire it.
The warm sunlight made time feel like it was flowing slowly.
In such a quiet village, there's no need to rush anywhere; simply walking and pausing to enjoy the scenery is enough for a fulfilling trip.
The stone wall paths in HanGae Village were particularly memorable.
Walking slowly along the endless stone wall path calms the heart.
The shadows cast by the sun on the wall were also very poetic.
It was a peaceful space that was perfect for a quiet stroll.
Visiting HanGae Village is a wonderful way to create lasting memories with family.
