Open Call for Artistic Director of the 14th Seoul Mediacity Biennale
The Seoul Museum of Art is seeking a new artistic director for the 14th Seoul Mediacity Biennale, scheduled to be held in 2027. Building on the history of the biennale accumulated over the past 30 years, we aim to open a new chapter that reflects on the potential of media and the locality of the metropolitan city of Seoul in a forward-thinking manner.
We are looking for an individual who can lead the Seoul Mediacity Biennale with innovative planning that emphasizes artistic practice to gain insights into reality and highlights the experimental and innovative aspects of contemporary art. We invite interest and participation from both domestic and international curators.
Application Period: June 3, 2026 (Wednesday) — July 15, 2026 (Wednesday) (43 days)
Required Documents: One application form, one self-introduction letter, one work plan, and one consent form for the collection and use of personal information (designated forms can be downloaded from the biennale website. Materials outside the designated format will be excluded from the review).
