Hello!
Today, I would like to introduce the 'Haman Gaya Harmony Center,' a multi-complex community center and local landmark located in Gaya-eup, the heart of Haman, Gyeongsangnam-do.
The 'Gaya Harmony Center' in Haman Gaya-eup was created through the 'Gaya-eup Rural Hub Activation Project,' which is part of the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs' 'General Agricultural and Fishing Village Development Project.'
It was born from the long-standing efforts of local governments and residents to overcome the decline in vitality due to population decline and aging in rural areas in the past and to improve the quality of life of residents.
This is a welcoming space where people of all ages, from infants to the elderly, can enjoy culture together, find learning opportunities, and share relaxation and exchange.
From Monday, October 20th to Saturday, October 25th, 2025, the '10th Haman-gun Craft Association Member Exhibition' was held at the Harmony Center on the first floor.
As soon as you entered the 'Haman-gun Craft Association Member Exhibition,' various craftworks were shining.
Each piece had a nameplate, making it easy to understand the artist's intention or materials.
The exhibition mainly featured various miniatures, straw dolls, and detailed crafts that children could be interested in.
There were many works made of natural materials such as straw and soil, so I could have time to teach children about nature.
Personally, my favorite work was 'A Child's Room in a Yogurt Bottle.'
Every time I looked at each exhibited work, I could feel the effort put into how detailed and sincere the making process was.
And it was a good opportunity to naturally teach children the importance and beauty of crafts.
The reason why 'Haman Gaya Harmony Center' is famous is because of the resident cafe and Kids' Gym on the first floor.
The Kids' Gym is an indoor playground where children can play, with a ball pool and soft play equipment, so children can play safely and excitingly.
As of 2025, the Kids' Gym is open to children born between 2021 and 2025.
The first hour costs 3,000 won, additional time costs 2,000 won, and group use costs 2,000 won per hour.
(Accompanying guardians are free.)
Next to the Kids' Gym, the resident cafe offers delicious drinks and handmade desserts made directly by senior barista volunteers at very affordable prices.
There was a variety of menus, including coffee, ade, smoothies, handmade teas, shaved ice, and waffles, and it was even more meaningful in that the profits were used for local return projects.
'Haman Gaya Harmony Center' was like a treasure of Haman, with various elements that would satisfy the whole family, including a fun Kids' Gym for children, a cost-effective resident cafe, a lifelong learning center with learning opportunities, and a craft exhibition where the scent of art flows.
Why not take a break from your busy daily life to gain vitality and create happy memories with your loved ones?
