Reflections on Memorable Concerts
서울특별시 송파구 올림픽로 424
올림픽공원

This is a candid recap of concerts that stayed with me, from the year’s first voice-and-guitar performance to stadium-scale shows and chaotic festival days.
Some moments were pure joy, others were frustrating, and a few were emotional enough that I had to hold back tears, but every stop added to the memory.
It is basically my concert diary, honest and a little messy, exactly how live music feels when it hits.
Starting the Year with Lucid Fall in a Winter Cold Wave
I’m not sure if I can post this, but I’ll give it a try.
The first concert of the year was a performance by Lucid Fall, featuring his voice and guitar.
I remember it was the day when cold wave warnings were flooding in.
I was curious about the venue, and I had wanted to attend recent concerts in Seoul but felt disappointed because of conflicting schedules, so I decided to book this one.
When the Venue Ruins the View but Not the Sound
Since it was a flat venue, the view was severely limited, and I really hope concerts won’t be held in places like this again.
In winter, people wear thick clothes, and there were big guys sitting in front of me, so I could only listen well.
While my ears were delighted, I was disappointed that I couldn’t see the guitar performance well.
It was a concert of voice and guitar.
I wanted to see the guitar.
Holding Back Tears in the Middle of “I Still”
Even though I felt tears welling up during the song “I Still,” I held back.
There were people sniffing, and I was worried I might suddenly burst into tears, so I just kept it in.
Mi-sun sang many songs, so there were quite a few new songs I heard.
Next time, please perform in a bigger venue, Paul.
Or come back to the Jeju Music Festival.
A Classical Night at the Sydney Opera House
This is also a concert, so I’ll sneak it in here.
I attended a classical concert at the Sydney Opera House.
Since I have no knowledge of classical music, I ended up dozing off quite a bit.
I was debating whether to drink wine, and if I had, I probably would have slept soundly.
Still, it was an opportunity to experience the classical concert culture of Sydney seniors.
La Clé 10th Anniversary Concert That Felt Completely Full
Next was the 10th-anniversary concert of La Clé.
It was truly fulfilling, so enjoyable, a wonderful La Clé concert.
I love The Fix.
I'm so happy with the performance of the snake chicken soup.
Getting Too Close to the Stage and Almost Pulled In
When the snake chicken soup came off stage to perform, I was so happy to see them up close, but it was overwhelming.
I almost got pulled in, but I quickly pulled my friend over and we handled it well together.
And that day’s short moments on stage will be unforgettable for a lifetime.
Everyone was just amazing that day.
I remember the day before this concert was a suspicious day, and everyone was quite tipsy.
I think this energy and atmosphere might not come around again, everyone was sipping mini bottles of whiskey.
Coldplay and the Stadium Show Standard
Next was the Coldplay concert.
It truly was the bible of stadium performances.
I hope all visiting artists will look up to Coldplay.
It was a performance that left a lasting impression.
For the next concert, I hope they include “Every Teardrop Is a Waterfall” in the setlist.
Jeju Music Festival Chaos, Heat, and Real-Life Survival
Yes, next is the Jeju Music Festival.
The entrance was so painful.
The line was chaotic; it wasn’t like this before, sigh.
Why are people so eager for cultural activities?
Of course, I’m one of them.
Bring peanut butter crunch to Korean Oakberry.
I thought I was going to die from the heat.
When the Picnic Zone Becomes Impossible
Unfortunately, there were chatty young people sitting behind me, making it impossible to enjoy the picnic zone during the day.
Next time, I’ll just come early to reserve a shady spot before opening and then go home again.
Mayhem’s Voice Like an Instrument and Sessions That Hit Hard
I was very curious about Mayhem.
His voice is like an instrument.
Other sessions were also amazing, especially the contrabass.
Why I Keep Returning to the Waterfront Stage Sound
Then I took a brief break between King O’Con and Jacob Collier and visited the waterfront stage.
Among all the stages, I really love the sound and resonance that come from the waterfront stage.
It was a stage where I could fully experience the Yoon Seok-cheol Trio.
I felt rewarded for running around the stage like a wasp.
The Most Anticipated Moment: Jacob Collier
And the highly anticipated Jacob Collier.
I had been looking forward to it the most.
As expected, he skillfully engaged the audience.
