It's a perfect season for walkingโ€”autumn! ๐Ÿ‚

These days, while traveling in Yeongdeok,

you can often see people enjoying autumn

by walking along the Yeongdeok Blue Road.

This area is part of the Blue Road course,

boasting stunning open views.

Welcome to the Yeongdeok Sangdaesan Gwan-eo-dae.

Gwan-eo-dae is a pavilion located on the coastal cliffs of Sangdaesan,

one of the scenic spots along the East Coast.

The name Gwan-eo-dae comes from the idea that

one can count the fish swimming below the surface.

Previously, there was only a trekking course leading to Gwan-eo-dae,

but recently, a cart and monorail have been added,

improving accessibility. ๐Ÿšก

Now, many people can easily and comfortably

make their way to Gwan-eo-dae.

Walking to Gwan-eo-dae takes about 20-30 minutes.

Since it's autumn, it's a great time to walk,

and you can enjoy a variety of paved roads, forest paths, and ocean views along the way.

However, due to some steep sections,

families with children or elderly members are advised to use the cart.

If you take the cart or monorail,

you can reach Gwan-eo-dae more easily.

The cart departs from the ticket office,

ascending along the paved road.

As you gain altitude,

you'll quickly arrive at the monorail station,

and in just about 2 minutes on the monorail,

you'll reach Gwan-eo-dae.

The moment you step off the monorail,

you can't help but gasp in awe!

With 360-degree views,

every direction offers breathtaking scenery.

The waves look like a painting,

and the blue sea of the East Coast stretches before you.

You can also see the Songcheon River flowing into the sea

and the wide sandy beach of Daejin Beach.

Looking in another direction,

you can admire the vast Yeonghae Plain turning increasingly yellow

and the charming fishing village,

along with the lush green pine forest.

No matter where you look, the scenery is stunning,

making it hard to take your eyes off.

Especially during sunset, the views become even more beautiful.

Gwan-eo-dae is not only a viewpoint in Yeongdeok,

but also a great spot to watch the sunset.

On one side of the pavilion,

you can see low stone towers.

These towers have been built by people

who wish to express their hopes.

Over time, they have accumulated.

At Gwan-eo-dae, you can not only enjoy beautiful views

but also take your time to relax and appreciate the surroundings.

Curious about the view from Gwan-eo-dae?

It's even more beautiful than in photos.

Make sure to see it with your own eyes! ๐Ÿ
