I wanted to moisten my dry heart with the everyday life.
Just in time, the autumn rain is drizzling down.
Feeling like an autumn man for no reason,
I visited the Gyeongsangnam-do Arboretum in Jinju, Ibanseong-myeon.
Under the colorful autumn leaves,
I wanted to enjoy the romance of autumn.
The arboretum still embraced the passion of summer.

In the Gyeongsangnam-do Arboretum square, soaked by autumn rain,
As I pass through the entrance, the red paving blocks
are shiny from the rain.
The round-cut trees are still deep green.
Only a few trees in the back have a hint of yellow.
I came looking for autumn, yet the green welcomes me first.
Autumn rain-soaked forest, the autumn light spreading among the greens.
In one corner of the square, red and
pink Sunpatients are blooming beautifully.
Each petal holds raindrops.
Even under the cloudy sky, the flowers are bright.
The flowers greet the autumn visitors before the trees.
Red and pink Sunpatients holding raindrops.
As I pass the ticket booth for the electric carousel, I enter the forest path.
A few yellow leaves have settled
on the wet paving stones.
Looking up, there is an abundance of green,
and looking down, I see autumn.
Summer is holding on above the trees,
while autumn quietly begins on the ground.
The landscape of the pond filled with aquatic plants and the yellowing trees is beautiful.
In the Plum Blossom Garden, I meet the weeping pink plum blossoms.
The slender branches droop toward the ground, getting drenched in the rain.
There are no flowers now.
I imagine the pink flowers blooming in spring.
Having come to meet autumn, I am already waiting for the next spring.
The weeping pink plum trees soaked in autumn rain.
As I walk further, the vibrant red leaves catch my eye.
The greens, yellows, oranges, and reds
are mixed in one tree.
It seems autumn has dropped different colors on each leaf.
This imperfect dyeing is more delightful than the fully red leaves.
The small pink flowers of the willow herb.
I stop at the pavilion by the pond.
Light green floating plants cover the surface.
The wooden deck stretches under the tiled roof.
The rain-soaked scenery is not extravagant but tranquil.
As I leave the pond, small pink flowers
sway in the wind.
I confirm the name tag; it is willow herb.
At the end of the slender stems, small flower clusters
lean against each other.
Even on the path to late autumn, the flowers
display their share of beauty.
Entering the Metasequoia forest path, I find two seasons.
As I walk along the path, fallen leaves are abundant.
Brown leaves cling to the wet ground.
Above my head, there is still abundant green,
but autumn has already arrived beneath my feet.
The speed of the changing seasons varies from tree to tree.
The autumn beauty awaits in the Gyeongsangnam-do Arboretum.
The cherry trees have already dropped their leaves,
while the Metasequoia still holds onto its light green.
The trees turning yellow and the reddening leaves
signal the arrival of autumn.
How about visiting again in early November?
By then, the Metasequoia will have donned its brown attire,
and the forest paths will be adorned with rich autumn colors.
Of course, the foliage will change depending on the weather.
This was a journey to moisten my dry heart with autumn rain.
As I return, my heart feels much more refreshed.
I glance at the two yellow leaves stuck to the window once more.
Raindrops continue to fall on the roof of the shelter.
