Exploring Akyang Ecological Park

Today, I am excited to share my visit to 'Akyang Ecological Park'. This expansive ecological park, developed along the Namgang River and Hamanchun Stream, offers a perfect blend of relaxation, walking, and ecological experiences. Walking along the established trails, I enjoyed the serene views of ponds, stone bridges, and benches, allowing for leisurely moments while appreciating the landscape of the river and trees. There are also numerous photo spots, such as the 'Bell of Waiting' and a moon-shaped sculpture, making it a great place for capturing memories.
Although pink muhly grass is not visible in winter, the park is appealing throughout the year, showcasing diverse charms in every season.
Upon entering the park, visitors are greeted by a pink flatboat sculpture called 'Maiden Boatman', commemorating the beloved song 'Maiden Boatman'. This song is inspired by a story of a maiden who rowed a ferry at Akyang Naru during the Korean War.
The walking paths along the Namgang are well-maintained and perfect for a light stroll. Along the way, I encountered an ecological pond with a stone bridge that provided a lovely spot to pause and take pictures.
Scattered throughout the park are benches where one can relax and enjoy the expansive river view. It would also be a great spot to have a simple picnic!
Notable photo zones along the trail include the 'Bell of Waiting' and the moon sculpture, where ringing the bell against the backdrop of the wide river makes for a fantastic photo opportunity. The moon sculpture lights up in the evening, creating a magical atmosphere for nighttime photography.
The view from the pavilion is truly beautiful, with the wide river and lush trees creating a picturesque scene. Each season offers a unique charm, making it a delightful place to walk and gaze at the river.
As a popular destination, the park features a photo zone with 'I ♡ Haman', perfect for capturing memories.
The park also includes a forest playground and a forest experience area for young children. With two playgrounds, children can run freely, and the soft flooring ensures a safe and enjoyable playtime.
Akyang Ecological Park is originally famous for its pink muhly grass. While it's not visible in winter, the pink photo zones are perfect for capturing photos. Visiting in September or October allows you to take beautiful pictures with blooming pink muhly grass. Akyang Ecological Park offers different charms throughout the seasons and is worth a visit.
