The weather is pleasantly cool these days.

Perhaps that's why many people are going out for excursions.

Today, I would like to introduce a great autumn outing destination in Gumi, Gyeongsangbuk-do.

It is the Gumi Geumo Mountain Cable Car, where you can enjoy the mountain scenery and visit a serene temple.

The cable car offers a breathtaking view of the surroundings.

The images in this article were taken in September, and if you visit in October, you will experience a different autumn landscape.

Location: 419 Geumosanno, Gumi, Gyeongsangbuk-do

Operating Hours: Daily from 09:00 AM to 05:00 PM

Departure Interval: Every 15 minutes (at the hour, 15, 30, and 45 minutes past)

Ride Duration: Approximately 5 minutes

Please check the fare and schedule before visiting.

I searched for 'Geumo Mountain Cable Car' on my navigation system and parked in the parking lot below the entrance.

After a short walk uphill from the parking lot, I could see the entrance to the cable car boarding area.

Following the guided path, I walked for about 5 minutes.

The slope was gentle, and the path was well-maintained, making it easy to walk without much physical strain.

I took my time admiring the surrounding scenery as I made my way to the cable car boarding area.

Upon arriving at the building housing the cable car boarding area, I noticed many people in hiking gear.

I was a bit worried about the difficulty of the ascent, but I was able to walk up comfortably without any special hiking preparations.

After purchasing my ticket at the ticket booth on the first floor, I moved to the waiting area on the upper floor.

I bought a round-trip ticket to enjoy both the ascent and descent.

The waiting area had chairs for us to sit and relax while waiting for our turn to board the cable car.

About 5 minutes before departure, ticket checking and boarding began.

The red cable car against the backdrop of the mountain was quite impressive.

I was excited to see the scenery unfold before my eyes!

I chose a seat at the front of the cable car to get a closer view.

There were also seats on both sides of the cable car, and I eagerly awaited our departure while gazing out at the landscape.

As the cable car ascended, the ridges of Geumo Mountain spread out beautifully.

It was a special experience to view the mountain from a different perspective than when walking.

Halfway up, I encountered a cable car descending from the opposite direction.

The sight of the red cable car gliding over the forest looked like a painting.

Before I knew it, we arrived at the upper boarding area.

It was convenient to reach the mid-level of Geumo Mountain without a long uphill walk.

Near the upper boarding area is Haewonsa Temple, located on the mountainside.

Following the signs toward Haewonsa, I walked a bit further.

Haewonsa is a quaint temple that exudes a tranquil charm.

If you visit the Geumo Mountain Cable Car, I recommend stopping by Haewonsa to explore at a leisurely pace.

If you are looking for a place to visit in Gyeongsangbuk-do, how about the Gumi Geumo Mountain Cable Car?

Enjoy the scenery of Geumo Mountain from the cable car, and spend a relaxing time visiting Haewonsa!
