As autumn arrives, I find myself enchanted by the beautiful red flowers of the Galkye Forest in Buk-sang-myeon, Geochang.

This year, I visited Galkye Forest to enjoy the autumn scenery, guided by the cool breeze.

The vibrant red flowers bloom among the green paths of the forest, making it a popular destination every year.

As I slowly walk along the pine tree paths, I capture the autumn landscape before the flowers fade.

Shall we take a stroll through the Galkye Forest, where the flowers warmly welcome us?

Located in the beautiful Buk-sang-myeon, where nature and people coexist, this area boasts stunning natural scenery at the northernmost tip of Gyeongsangnam-do, nestled in the Baekdu-daegan mountain range.

The deep valleys of Deogyusan National Park and the clear waters of the region create a pristine natural environment.

It is also a place where dreams are lived out in a healthy and beautiful manner.

Among the main attractions are the serene Wolsung Valley, where visitors can enjoy the sound of cool water in the summer, and Galkye Forest, known for its beautiful red flowers and tranquil pine forests.

In spring, the village of Byeonggok is famous for its stunning cherry blossom paths.

This time, I took the rural bus to Galkye Forest. Boarding the bus at the Seohung Passenger Terminal, I enjoyed the scenic views of Geochang as we passed through Geochang-eup, Mari-myeon, and Wicheon-myeon, making it easy to find Galkye Forest.

Parking is free, and you can conveniently park in front of Buk-sang Elementary School. It’s just a short walk of about 100 meters to reach the forest.

Before entering Galkye Forest, the sight of tourists crossing the bridge and the blooming red flowers creates a picturesque landscape.

Galkye Forest is a unique area where the waters originating from Deogyusan flow east and west, forming a natural island with lush vegetation.

In the late autumn, even as the flowers begin to fall, the forest still holds its charm. The red flowers of the Galkye Forest are a sight to behold, especially in mid-September when they bloom in full glory.

As I walked barefoot along the dirt paths lined with pine trees, I felt a unique connection to nature.

With every step, I discovered the tranquility that nature offers. Even though the flowers were fading, the late autumn beauty of Galkye Forest still captivates visitors.

Galkye Forest is a place where every season is beautiful, with different colors and scenery to enjoy throughout the year. As the seasons change, it beckons you to return, offering a new experience with each visit.
