A Relaxing Weekend at Anseong Starfield Aquafield Spa with My 11-Month-Old
We spent this past weekend at the Anseong Starfield Aquafield Spa (sauna) with our 11-month-old, Taeri! It was a great experience.
Even though it was 10 AM on a Saturday, there were already quite a few people getting ready to enter. You can purchase tickets at the kiosk, and the staff were very helpful and friendly. (Regional discounts are also available at the kiosk)
After taking the escalator up, we found our assigned number in the shoe locker area and got our locker key. Right next to the shoe lockers is the information desk where you can get your spa outfits if you're going to Aquafield.
Before entering the locker room and spa, we passed by the water park, which looked like a lot of fun! (Maybe we'll come here during the week.)
Inside the locker room, there's a direct connection to the water park, so you can go straight there after changing.
Our destination for the day was the Anseong Starfield Aquafield Spa! We were very satisfied with how spacious and clean it was.
Since it was 10 AM, it wasn't crowded yet, but by 1 or 2 PM, it got pretty full. There's also a manga cafe and a fish cafe available for an extra fee.
It had been a while since I'd been to a Korean sauna (jjimjilbang), and the term "sheep head towel" (yangmeori) felt so cute.
The cloud room felt moist and warm, but it seemed too hot to bring Taeri in, so we skipped it.
There's a snack bar where you can grab a bite to eat. They have a variety of drinks, sweet rice drink (shikhye), and of course, the essential sauna snacks like eggs. There was also a microwave, which was convenient for warming up Taeri's baby food.
One of the perks of arriving early is that it's empty! There's a panorama on the ceiling that makes you feel like you're underwater.
Taeri's favorite room was the cypress wood room. The scent of the cypress was lovely, and the temperature was perfect.
And here it is! The main play area for babies: the kids' room! (Height limit of 120cm)
Taeri worked hard to climb up and save the rabbit! It looked more like training than play, haha.
There was also a game room, but it was packed with kids in the afternoon.
They also have photo booths. I want to take some photos with my wife next time we come together.
There's also a food court if you need another bite to eat.
Right next to the ordering counter, there are large tables.
Further inside, there's a relaxation room, but it's only for adults.
Another great spot to enjoy with a baby at Anseong Starfield is the foot spa cold-water bath. (It's not too cold!) Taeri loved splashing around in the water when her feet were just barely submerged. (This is why I spend money on travel!)
