Crystal Jade Sogong is a calm, luxurious Chinese restaurant near Lotte Department Store that works well for year-end gatherings, formal dinners, and meetings where you want to talk without noise.
Reservations were easy via Catch Table or Naver, and private rooms are highly recommended if you can meet the minimum order amount. Peking Duck requires advance booking, and we ordered 1.5 ducks for a group of six.
The highlight was the Peking Duck with crispy skin, plus a solid lineup of dim sum, sweet and sour pork, spicy eggplant tempura, seafood hot pot, and noodles to finish the meal comfortably.

Hello! This time, I visited the Chinese restaurant Crystal Jade Sogong Branch for a year-end gathering and dinner. Since it was a year-end meeting, we preferred a quiet place where we could have conversations rather than a noisy atmosphere. We were looking for a luxurious place with a variety of delicious dishes, and that’s why we chose Crystal Jade Sogong.
Reservations and Important Notes
I made a reservation in advance through Catch Table, and it was also possible to reserve via Naver, making it relatively easy to book. Please note that ordering Peking Duck requires a prior reservation.
Since there were six of us, we ordered one and a half ducks.
Private Room Minimum Order
When reserving a room, there is a minimum order amount per person, so please keep that in mind. Lunch: Minimum 45,000 KRW per person. Dinner: Minimum 65,000 KRW per person.
If you can meet the minimum amount, I highly recommend reserving a room. The room is very private, blocking out external noise, making it an ideal place for important meetings or formal dining.

Crystal Jade Sogong is located just a short walk past the main Lotte Department Store. It is relatively accessible for those looking for a Chinese restaurant in Sogong-dong or near Lotte Department Store. However, the exterior may not look like a typical restaurant, so first-time visitors might overlook it.
Upon entering and going down to the basement level, you will find a calm and luxurious space with soft lighting. It is relatively quiet compared to other restaurants in Sogong-dong, making it suitable for gatherings or important meetings.
Additionally, Crystal Jade Sogong has consistently been featured in the Michelin Guide, which adds to the anticipation.
What We Ordered
Now, let me introduce the dishes we ordered.
Dim Sum and Starters
Sweet and Sour Pork (39,000 KRW): Crispy, not overly greasy, and the sauce was balanced.
Shrimp Dumplings (6PCS) (19,600 KRW): Thin skin with plump shrimp filling.
Shumai (6PCS) (19,900 KRW): Juicy and well-seasoned.
Chive Dumplings (6PCS) (18,000 KRW): Mild and easy to enjoy.
Spicy Eggplant Tempura (12,000 KRW): Crispy outside, moist inside, and my personal favorite.
Main Dishes
Seafood Hot Pot (55,000 KRW): Generous seafood with a comforting broth.
Creamy Shrimp (49,000 KRW): Luxurious cream sauce paired nicely with fresh shrimp.
Noodles to Finish
Jajangmyeon (12,000 KRW): Chewy noodles and smooth sauce that wasn’t salty.
Spicy Seafood Noodle Soup (18,000 KRW): A great option if you want a spicy broth.
Peking Duck Highlight
Peking Duck (1.5 Ducks) (190,000 KRW): The skin was crispy and not too greasy, making it easy to enjoy. We also had two side dishes that came with the duck: stir-fried duck with bean sprouts and duck soup, both delightful.
Ending and Overall Review
Lastly, I ordered a Paul Bassett Iced Americano (3,500 KRW) to cleanse my palate. It was refreshing and the perfect ending to our meal.
In conclusion, I highly recommend Crystal Jade Sogong for its delicious food and elegant atmosphere. If you want a quiet place for a year-end gathering, and especially if you plan to order Peking Duck, reserving ahead and considering a private room can make the dinner feel even more special.
