Recommended Izakaya near Seoul Station: Ran Izakaya and Kansai Oden Soup

These days, after work or gatherings, I often crave something warm and comforting. If you're looking for a cozy bar near Seoul Station and Sungnyemun, I highly recommend Ran Izakaya. It's a place I visited for a second round after a first stop elsewhere, not wanting to part ways with my friends.
Ran Izakaya prides itself on making all its dishes from scratch. The ambiance is both stylish and inviting, making you feel your daily fatigue melt away. They even have private spaces for intimate gatherings with loved ones, friends, or colleagues.
The Kansai Oden Soup at Ran Izakaya is generously filled with large and diverse ingredients. This dish is known in Japan for its clear and transparent broth. The soup, made from kombu and katsuobushi, is flavored with light soy sauce, resulting in a more delicate and deep taste compared to the richer oden from the Kanto region. They truly capture the essence of Kansai-style oden, emphasizing the natural flavors of the broth.
The clean and refreshing umami of the broth fills your mouth, making your body feel warm and relaxed. With fresh vegetables, bouncy fish cakes, and quail eggs, the variety of ingredients soak in the clear and rich flavor of the broth, making it incredibly delicious.
