Found My Holy Grail Kalguksu Spot in Jochiwon!
Hello everyone~! Guess what? I recently discovered the best Kalguksu (Korean knife-cut noodle soup) restaurant EVER! I used to wander around trying different places whenever I craved Kalguksu, but now I think I've found my forever spot! ✨
Let me share my recent, still-hot review! As soon as you step inside, the atmosphere is so clean and pleasant. It feels very organized, making it comfortable to dine in, and the table spacing is just right!
But the real highlight was something else! The owner makes everything from scratch. These days, many places use pre-made products, but the owner here is truly passionate about the food! 🥹
They even hand-prepare all the ingredients for the dumplings, carefully slicing and combining them. And get this – they even make their own *geotjeori* (fresh kimchi) seasoning and *yeolmu kimchi* (young radish kimchi), which are essential for a good Kalguksu place! 🤩 I was so impressed that they simmer the broth directly in the store instead of using a store-bought one.
Finally, the Kalguksu review! As soon as I saw it, the broth looked so clear and clean that my mouth started watering. I took a sip... Wow! The broth was incredibly refreshing, clean, and yet so flavorful that it amazed me.
They must use incredibly fresh seafood because there wasn't a single fishy taste, and it was generously added, which was awesome! 😍😍😍 Especially the chewy noodles and the hot, refreshing broth combination is just divine... I slurped up those noodles in no time! LOL
But the true key point of this place is the kimchi! Honestly, I think kimchi is 90% of what makes a Kalguksu restaurant great, and here... the *geotjeori* was just so delicious! The seasoning was spicy, salty, and the crunchy texture was alive, making it incredibly delicious with the Kalguksu noodles! 🤤
The *yeolmu kimchi* was also cool and tangy, so alternating between it and the Kalguksu cleansed my palate and made me want to keep eating! One bite of Kalguksu, one bite of kimchi... this combination is just pure love... 🥰
Despite all this care and effort, the prices are reasonable, making it perfect in terms of value for money! 😄 It was a truly satisfying meal! Oh, and my friend ordered it because they were feeling a bit tired lately, thinking it would be perfect as a hangover cure... and I think it would be perfect for that too! LOL
The cool and warm broth feels like it's warming you up from the inside out? The taste, the atmosphere, and the owner's handmade touch – everything was perfect! 🤩 If you like Kalguksu, or if you want to experience true handmade goodness, you definitely need to go here! You won't regret it!
