Delicious Korean Beef at Samihun in Seomyeon

Seomyeon Samihun is a beloved restaurant known for its consistent quality of Korean beef.
After hearing the news of a friend's pregnancy, I wanted to celebrate this special occasion with a delicious meal, so we decided to gather at Samihun's new location.
Since it's a place I cherish, I thought it would be a great opportunity to leave a review.
Restaurant Name: Samihun New Branch
Address: 32 Seomyeon Munhwa-ro, Busanjin-gu, Busan
Business Hours: 11:00 AM - 9:30 PM
Parking: Available
Among the many food options, we chose Korean beef because it feels like the perfect choice for celebrations or special occasions. Samihun has a long-standing tradition in Seomyeon and is now a must-visit restaurant.
How to Get to Samihun New Branch: If you're driving, just enter the address into your GPS. It's only 273 meters from Exit 9 of Seomyeon Station, which is about a 3-5 minute walk.
The menu is displayed at the entrance, so you can browse it before entering.
Ordered Menu:
- Hanwoo Tenderloin (43,000 KRW per 100g)
- King Marinated Ribs (39,000 KRW for 290g)
- Spicy Cold Noodles (11,000 KRW)
- Doenjang Stew (4,000 KRW)
Since my friend is pregnant, I picked her up and parked before we headed in. Using Samihun's parking lot was very convenient.
There's also the Yeonggwang Library parking lot, which is 50 meters away, and they offer free parking for up to an hour for meals and two hours for grilled orders.
Everyone was excited about the food. The thrill of exploring a new restaurant with friends is always delightful. We quickly went inside and were seated. The first floor was clean and pleasant, but we opted for the second floor, which was quieter.
Samihun is also famous for its Galbitang (beef rib soup). While I often visit for the beef, I also keep many of their packaged products in my freezer.
Once we ordered the meat, the side dishes started arriving, and my mouth began to water. The japchae (stir-fried glass noodles) was outstanding, served warm with a variety of fresh ingredients.
The water kimchi was also delicious; I would buy it if it were sold separately!
To warm up before the meal, we had a salad to help manage blood sugar levels. The dressing seemed homemade, and the salad was fresh and vibrant, indicating that the restaurant is still popular.
Some friends don't enjoy the sweet pumpkin salad, but I absolutely love it, especially with the sliced almonds sprinkled on top.
The Hanwoo tenderloin was incredibly thick, even thicker than a 500 KRW coin. It was served with mushrooms, bell peppers, and potatoes for grilling.
Before eating, I could already tell it was going to be delicious. Grilling it as a whole kept the juices locked inside, enhancing the flavor.
After cutting it into bite-sized pieces, we continued grilling it over charcoal, which added a wonderful smoky flavor. As soon as I took a bite, my friends were amazed by the taste.
Next, we ordered the King Marinated Ribs. This dish is marinated and incredibly flavorful, with tender meat that falls off the bone.
We also ordered the spicy cold noodles, which had a light broth, making it moist and enjoyable. The toppings of cucumber and radish added a delightful crunch.
My friend’s doenjang stew was rich and hearty, filled with tofu, zucchini, and onions.
In summary, Samihun New Branch stands out from other Korean beef restaurants, and I felt proud to treat my pregnant friend to a delicious meal.
Finally, they have a Family Day event every Sunday, offering discounts on grilled items for families.
