I recently met my sister who just gave birth.

Previously, we mostly met at home because she felt burdened with going out with the baby.

However, now that she seems to have a bit more time, she suggested we go out for some delicious meat, and we enjoyed a nice meal together for the first time in a while.

We went to Sal-Sal Noksso located in Hwaseong Namyang-eup.

It's situated at 302 Sin-nam-an-gil, in building 2, Hwaseong-si, Gyeonggi-do.

Upon arriving, I noticed that the parking lot was quite busy, even during lunchtime, which indicated its popularity.

The side dishes served were impressive, showcasing the restaurant's attention to detail, with a variety of accompaniments including kimchi and bean sprout soup, making the meal even more satisfying.

The kimchi bean sprout soup was mild yet refreshing, perfectly complementing our meal.

The self-serve bar offered a variety of lettuce wraps, garlic, and salads. I was particularly impressed by the assortment of 3-4 types of kimchi, which were delicious enough that local moms refer to this place as a kimchi haven.

We ordered a half plate of fresh ribs, and it became clear why my sister insisted on dining at a meat restaurant even with a baby in tow.

Once the meat arrived, its vibrant color and freshness were evident. The use of charcoal added a subtle aroma that enhanced the experience, making the meat smell incredibly appetizing as it cooked.

The restaurant is spacious, making it convenient for families with strollers. Many customers brought their strollers, making it easy to enjoy our meal without any hassle.

The ribs were thick and juicy, cooked quickly over high heat, filling my mouth with flavor with just one bite. The meat was freshly prepared, with minimal excess fat.

Since it was fresh, there was no unpleasant smell, and the texture was delightfully chewy, releasing savory juices with each bite.

While my sister preferred to dip her meat in salt, I enjoyed adding wasabi, making our meal more diverse and enjoyable.

Ordering meat before 3 PM on weekdays comes with a complimentary cold noodle dish, which we quickly decided to order.

The noodles were perfectly chewy, accompanied by a rich broth and a boiled egg, making it hard to believe it was complimentary.

At Sal-Sal Noksso, the excellent heat meant we could grill just enough meat to eat at a time, avoiding the need to cook too much all at once.

The meat's natural flavors were enhanced even when wrapped in lettuce, proving my sister right when she said, "Once you taste it, you can't just eat it once." I found myself completely captivated by Sal-Sal Noksso.

The well-cooked meat glistened with juices yet was not greasy, and the deep umami flavor of the ribs filled my mouth with each bite.

The various side dishes were not overly stimulating, making them perfect companions to the meat.

Among the sides, the sweet and sour lettuce salad paired exceptionally well with the meat.

As we continued eating, the lettuce salad helped balance the richness of the beef, allowing us to enjoy the meal without getting tired of the flavors.

We finished our meal with a bibim naengmyeon, made with a house-made sauce that provided a delightful depth of flavor with a variety of ingredients.

This was the perfect way to cleanse our palate after the meat.

Sal-Sal Noksso impressed me with its spacious layout and well-equipped private rooms, making it a comfortable spot for family dining.

I can see myself returning frequently for family outings.
