Always Delicious: A Group Visit to Saebyeok House in Jamsil

Today, I'm introducing Saebyeok House, located in the Rose Shopping Center in Sincheon-dong, Songpa-gu, Seoul.
I've visited this place several times for company lunches because the food is good and the menu is diverse, making it perfect for group meals.

Saebyeok House is located behind the famous Rose Shopping Center in Jamsil. As you know, the Rose Shopping Center is like a maze, so just remember it's behind Building A, which should make it easier to find.
They have a diverse menu.
Their signature dish is Sundubu (soft tofu stew), but they write it as 'Sumdubu' on the menu. The basic 1-person meal is Sumdubu.
I ordered Sumdubu before, and it came with vegetables like bibimbap, which was great. However, when we come as a group, we usually order dishes to share.

Tofu Kimchi Stir-fry (₩20,000)

Saebyeok House is known for its tofu dishes, so of course, the Tofu Kimchi Stir-fry is delicious. They make their own tofu, which is savory and mild. It's heavenly when eaten with the stir-fried kimchi.
It's a classic combination that's hard to dislike!
Garlic Bossam with Myeongyi Leaves (₩39,000)

The Garlic Bossam features a separate garlic sauce and plenty of fresh lettuce wraps. This is a definite go-to menu item for group orders.
Fresh lettuce and myeongyi leaves are the perfect additions to the dish.
The pork belly is cooked to a soft tenderness. When eaten with fragrant lettuce, the savory flavor of the pork, the tangy flavor of the myeongyi leaves, and the aroma of the perilla leaf, which I love, blend together perfectly.
Kimchi Pancake (₩15,000)

This was my first time ordering the Kimchi Pancake, and it was so good! It was perfectly crispy on both sides and still moist, making it the best Kimchi Pancake I've had in a long time!
Seafood Pancake (₩20,000)

This was also my first time ordering the Seafood Pancake, and it was packed with seafood.
Plump squid, shrimp, and mussels are pan-fried with scallions, giving off a subtle ocean scent with every bite.
It was tasty, but I personally preferred the Kimchi Pancake a bit more.
Blanched Squid (₩15,000)

This was also a first-time order for me. The squid, which is difficult to cook well, was perfectly cooked, making it tender rather than chewy.
The chewy texture has a subtle sweetness, and when dipped in chojang (vinegar chili paste), it's even more flavorful.
Seafood Jjamppong Soup (₩25,000)

I was at a different table, so I only got a picture of it in a bowl. It was full of seafood like mussels, and you can add udon noodles!
We also had makgeolli (Korean rice wine) with lunch, which was a perfect pairing!
A Totally Destroyed Table
We ate well and left! I was so full. We were 8 people, and I don't know how many dishes we ordered! Saebyeok House in Jamsil is awesome.
