A Delightful Family Dinner at Yong-i Sushi

We enjoyed a lovely dinner date with my husband and older daughter, feeling the warm evening breeze after a long time. We visited the popular 'Yong-i Sushi' near Jangsan Station. The fun of choosing from various sushi on the conveyor belt, along with the freshness of the ingredients, made it a satisfying experience for all three of us.
What I liked most was the excellent value for money, allowing us to eat heartily without any worries. There’s nothing quite as joyful as sharing delicious food and chatting with family.
Yong-i Sushi is located on Cecil Road in Haeundae, Busan, very close to Exit 3 of Jangsan Station on Subway Line 2, making it convenient to visit by public transport. Its central location in a bustling area is perfect for exploring before or after a meal. After dining, our family took a light stroll around the neighborhood, which was great for sightseeing.
We drove to the restaurant, and while parking in Haeundae can be a concern, there’s a public parking lot right in front of the restaurant, which was very convenient.
The clean and stylish exterior of the restaurant welcomed us with its eye-catching sign. The cute yet professional vibe of the building, adorned with Yong-i Sushi's character, was inviting. The entrance displayed the main menu and prices, allowing us to browse before entering. There was also a thoughtful waiting area for customers, which left a good impression even before we stepped inside.
As soon as we entered, we were greeted by cheerful voices and the delicious aroma of food. The spacious interior featured a large conveyor belt surrounded by tables, where we settled in a table area for a more comfortable conversation. The stylish decor made it an ideal spot for a date or family outing.
The sushi gliding along the conveyor belt looked so appealing. My older daughter was captivated by the softness of the salmon sushi, while my husband loved the chewy flounder and savory beef tartare sushi.
The beautiful lighting inside the restaurant provided a perfect backdrop for family photos with the vibrant sushi plates. I highly recommend capturing dynamic shots of the chefs making sushi!
As we prepared for our meal, warm miso soup and a vegetable salad were served as standard. Other items were also available on the table, allowing us to choose according to our preferences. One unique aspect of Yong-i Sushi is that it doesn’t include wasabi in the sushi, letting each person adjust the spice level to their liking, which is great for those who are cautious about strong flavors.
Above all, the friendliness of the chefs was a major charm of this place. They prepared any sushi not on the conveyor belt immediately upon order, ensuring freshness. Watching my daughter and husband share their favorite sushi with each other made for a heartwarming dinner.
The combination of taste and visual appeal made for a delightful experience for both our eyes and mouths. With a variety of options available, our family, who has specific tastes, was able to enjoy a satisfying meal together.
Especially with the affordable prices, Yong-i Sushi is indeed a great choice. Each piece is priced at 2,350 won, making it an attractive option in terms of value for money.
My favorite pick was the octopus wasabi sushi. The chewy texture of the octopus combined with the zesty wasabi was incredibly delicious. When I requested it, they made it right away, enhancing the enjoyment.
Next up was the flying fish roe sushi, which was visually stunning. The popping texture in my mouth was fun, and the vibrant colors made me order it immediately.
Among the fresh sushi circulating on the conveyor belt, we made our selections! My husband had quite a bit today. It's adorable how he misses our youngest daughter, saying we used to be a family of four, but now we’re just three.
We also ordered special hand rolls! Although they cost twice as much as regular sushi, they were irresistible. The abundant sea urchin provided a rich ocean flavor that I love.
As we finished our meal, the attentive service ensured a pleasant conclusion. The mouthwash and candies at the entrance were nice touches, and after settling the bill, we were given a yogurt each as a parting gift.
If you’re looking for a place near Jangsan Station that offers great value, taste, and atmosphere, Yong-i Sushi is a choice you won’t regret.
