A Culinary Adventure at Geunbom Black Pork Near Jeju Oriental Hotel

On the last day of our trip, we focused primarily on sightseeing, which left us a bit disappointed when it came to meals.
With our schedule already set for the airport, I started looking for restaurants near Jeju Oriental Hotel and discovered Geunbom Black Pork.
Located in the heart of Jeju, the restaurant is just a 10-minute drive from the airport, making it a convenient stop on our itinerary.
The restaurant has a standalone building with an exotic atmosphere, which immediately caught my attention.
Currently, they are running a half-price promotion on all types of meat, which made it a great choice considering our travel budget.
There is ample parking space right in front of the restaurant, and it's easy to access from the road, making it suitable even for someone like me who was driving in Jeju for the first time.
Being in the city, I was worried about parking and driving, but the space was large enough for bigger vehicles.
Upon entering, the warm wooden tones created a cozy first impression.
They also provided a high chair for my child, which I appreciated, as many places lack facilities for kids.
There was an apron available for customers to use freely, which was convenient for introverts like me who prefer not to ask staff for assistance.
The menu was straightforward, with discounted prices clearly displayed.
Famous for being near Jeju Oriental Hotel, the price of 38,000 won for 600g of pork was a steal, and I wanted to try everything.
The side dishes were quickly brought to our table after ordering, including fresh vegetables, seasoned green onions, bean sprouts, kimchi, and salad.
We could refill the basic side dishes from a self-service bar, ensuring we had plenty to enjoy without worry.
The black pork, marinated and cooked to perfection, was juicy and flavorful, retaining its texture and aroma.
The meat was grilled over high heat, keeping it moist without losing any juices.
We grilled it alongside some meljeot (fermented sauce), bean sprouts, and kimchi, which added to the deliciousness.
The pork was easy to manage, as we could cut it into bite-sized pieces and grill them just enough to cook the inside.
The internal standards for managing the black pork were impressive, and it was fresh with no unpleasant odors.
Before diving into our main meal, we took a moment to capture how generous the portions were, filling our table with an abundance of food.
There were various dipping sauces, enhancing the flavor spectrum of the meat.
The pork was tender and moist, coating the mouth without being dry or tough.
Wrapping the grilled pork with kimchi and bean sprouts intensified the flavors, and I enjoyed the harmonious combination.
They also offered fried rice cooked on the grill, a rarity these days, which I couldn't pass up.
The rice, coated in pork fat, paired perfectly with a piece of meat, providing an unmatched satisfaction.
Another grill menu item was chapagetti, which was freshly cooked, with a chewy texture that absorbed the meat's savory essence.
The meals were hearty and comforting, with generous portions of zucchini and served directly in a hot stone pot.
The black pork kimchi stew reminded me of my mother's cooking, served in a generous pot.
The cold noodle soup was refreshing, making it a great way to finish the meal.
The combination of young radish and cucumber added a delightful crunch, making it easy to slurp up the noodles.
Dining at Geunbom Black Pork was a wonderful experience, allowing us to enjoy high-quality Jeju black pork at an affordable price.
If you haven't had a proper taste of black pork during your visit to Jeju, I highly recommend checking out Geunbom Black Pork.
