I'm starting a review of 'Yeonnam Oden,' a delicious oden restaurant in Yeonnam-dong, near Hongik University Station, that comes to mind when the cold wind blows.

Hours: Sun-Thurs 5:00 PM - 1:00 AM / Fri-Sat 5:00 PM - 2:00 AM (Closed every Tuesday)

Exterior & Interior

Located on a semi-basement floor, Yeonnam Oden has the feel of a late-night Japanese diner. It's a great place to enjoy clean oden while having a quiet conversation.

It's a bit away from the hustle and bustle of the main streets, making it surprisingly comfortable for drinks and conversation. It's tucked away at the end of an alley, so there's a joy of discovery, and the slightly dim lighting adds to the atmosphere.

The interior is not large, creating a cozy and neat oden bar atmosphere. It's a comfortable space to go with a friend or even alone.

Menu & Food Review

We ordered the Steamed Clams in Sake with Suji Tang (so delicious...??) and selected oden skewers.

I was so busy eating that I didn't even take pictures, but each menu item was not too salty or overpowering, but had a subtle and savory flavor that lingered in my mind. I'm definitely planning to visit again :)

Overall Review

You can feel the care put into each dish, so it's more than just 'filling snacks,' making it a truly healing dining experience.

It's great for dates in Yeonnam-dong, gatherings with friends, or even solo drinks. I liked that it wasn't too noisy, allowing for relaxed conversation :)
