A Beloved Barbecue Spot in Sanbon: Ijo Charcoal Grilled Ribs

In Sanbon, there are truly many delicious restaurants. Whenever a new place opens, I try to visit, and I also check out the recommended spots one by one.
Every time we dine out as a family, we ponder, "Where shall we go this time?" Although we've visited various places, there are some that suddenly come to mind after some time.
For my family, that place is Ijo Charcoal Grilled Ribs.
It has been 25 years since my first visit, and even now, whenever I think of pork ribs, this place naturally comes to mind. Perhaps because of the memories we've shared over the years, it feels like more than just a delicious restaurant; it’s a special place filled with family moments.
This time, four of us visited together after a long while. It used to be a place I went with my parents, and now I find myself bringing my family here, which makes me realize how quickly time flies. Yet, the comfort and familiar atmosphere upon entering the restaurant remain unchanged, which was a pleasant surprise.
The menu we ordered was, as always, the pork ribs. Even after trying various dishes, the first thing that comes to mind when visiting Ijo Charcoal Grilled Ribs is the grilled pork ribs.
Watching the ribs slowly cook over the charcoal brings a sense of anticipation for a delicious meal.
The perfectly grilled ribs emanate a subtle charcoal aroma, and the sweet and savory marinade blends beautifully with the meat, making it truly delicious. Enjoying a cold beer at this long-visited restaurant adds to the experience.
The marinade isn’t overly strong, making it easy to eat, and the meat is tender enough for the whole family to enjoy.
Placing a warm rib on a lettuce leaf with garlic and ssamjang enhances the unique flavor of the charcoal-grilled ribs. While delicious food is great, the time spent sitting together with family, sharing stories over a meal, is truly precious. I believe that the ability to comfortably enjoy such moments is a major charm of Ijo Charcoal Grilled Ribs.
Nowadays, many new restaurants with great atmospheres are popping up, but ultimately, the places we return to are those that carry good memories and flavors.
For 25 years, Ijo Charcoal Grilled Ribs has been a part of our family dining experiences.
After enjoying some cold noodles for dessert and a glass of Sikhye, it felt refreshing.
When I think of pork ribs in Sanbon, this is the first place that comes to mind for a comfortable and delicious time with family. A place that has maintained its consistent taste over the years, Ijo Charcoal Grilled Ribs is a memorable spot that lingers in my thoughts.
