Celebrity Travel Shows: Continuing 'Happy Challenges' Amidst Controversy

Despite recent criticism from some viewers claiming that "only celebrities live luxuriously," questions have been raised about the authenticity of travel entertainment programs.
However, the cast of MBC Every1's 'The Great Guide 2.5 – Daedanan Guide' sincerely shared "the happiness that travel as work brings" through the program, despite these perspectives.
The online production presentation held on the 28th was attended by Park Myung-soo, Kim Dae-ho, Choi Daniel, Lee Mu-jin, Jeon So-min, Oh My Girl's Hyojung, and PD Woo Tak-woo.
This season captures a delightful travelogue that viewers can easily follow, serving as a 'bridge' before heading into Season 3.
Park Myung-soo: "I'm so happy to travel through work."
The members reunited approximately three months after Season 2 of 'The Great Guide.' Park Myung-soo lightened the atmosphere with his characteristic humor, saying, "I was nervous, but thankfully it worked out." He added, "I'm so happy to travel through work. It's difficult personally due to my busy schedule, but I make up for that through this program."
He also brought laughter by saying, "The head of Every1 told me that 'being quiet is the key to being funny,' so I only spoke half as much this time. And I got praised for it."
He further expressed his affection for the program, adding, "Filming was enjoyable. I was really happy when the PD said that 'the season seems likely to continue.' I would be happy to join again anytime if I get another offer."
Lee Mu-jin: "It was a huge deviation and courage for me."
Singer Lee Mu-jin shared that participating in this program changed his life. He confessed, "I used to stay only in my studio even when I had time. So, appearing on the last season was a huge deviation and courage for me."
He conveyed his sincerity, saying, "After the season ended, I felt empty, like a dream had ended. I went back to the studio, but I couldn't focus on anything. That's how enjoyable it was." He also showed a strong attachment to the program, saying, "I have such good memories that I eagerly waited for this casting offer. I wanted to be a part of it, even if it was just a studio shoot."
Jeon So-min: "Traveling with Choi Daniel was an interesting and new experience."
Actress Jeon So-min began by saying, "The great merit was that I could travel with a friend." She burst into laughter, especially adding, "Since Choi Daniel was appearing, I thought, 'When else would I get to travel with Daniel?'"
She said, "I was in a period of being fascinated by travel these days. It was a new challenge for me, who used to go to the same places," and added, "I newly felt the charm of traveling with a guide." Jeon So-min's honest and bright attitude made the atmosphere on set even more pleasant.
Hyojung: "The emotion I felt at Baekdu Mountain was the best moment of my life."
Oh My Girl's Hyojung recalled Season 1 in England as her "favorite trip of her life," saying, "Because of those memories, I watched Season 2 from the viewers' perspective, and as soon as I received this offer, I said I would do it right away."
She said, "This trip was much more dynamic. I was curious, wondering, 'Will it be like this if I go with them?' but it was actually so much fun."
She also smiled, saying, "Baekdu Mountain is close, but I never really thought of it as a travel destination. But when I actually went, it became the most memorable moment in my life."
'Daedanan Guide' is establishing itself as a program that conveys "the real happiness you can feel at the boundary between work and travel," rather than simply showing celebrities' luxurious travels.
