Refreshing Retreat at Changneungcheon Solnaemunuri Trail

Hello!
As the weather has become significantly warmer, I find myself longing for cool waters these days.
Today, I want to introduce a hidden gem where you can enjoy fresh air and clean water without venturing far into the suburbs of Goyang City: the 'Changneungcheon Solnaemunuri Trail'.
This trail features a delightful water play valley that is perfect for a refreshing escape!
Located at the upper reaches of Changneungcheon, which starts from Bukhansan, the 'Solnaemunuri Trail' offers a pleasant walking path stretching approximately 2.8 kilometers.
This area is also part of the Bukhansan Circuit Trail, making it an excellent spot for a leisurely stroll while enjoying the fragrant pine scent emitted by the lush trees.
As you walk along the trail, you may encounter a charming statue of a merchant with a cart full of rice, adding a little extra interest to your journey.
There are also exercise equipment installed along the path, allowing you to enjoy the view of the clear water while staying active.
For directions and parking tips, search for 'Chunghyo Bridge, Hyoja-dong, Deogyang-gu, Goyang City' in your navigation. You will soon find a quaint little bridge, and upon arrival, you will notice a spacious parking area that is also used as a helicopter pad, making it convenient for visitors.
After parking, follow the path down to the 'Chunghyo Bridge'. As you descend, you will be greeted by a stunningly clear valley that is sure to take your breath away.
Although the water level isn't very deep, the clarity and cleanliness of the water are remarkable, reflecting the beautiful clouds floating above.
This natural stream is perfect for children to safely dip their feet and play.
Even on a weekday, I found several families enjoying a cozy time in the water.
On days when the sun isn't too hot, it's more enjoyable to dip your feet in the cool water, share stories, or catch small fish, creating a peaceful atmosphere.
Local residents also come to relax under the shade of the bridge with elderly family members, escaping the heat. It’s said that on weekends, many people visit this lovely spot to enjoy the nature it offers.
Particularly, the area under 'Chunghyo Bridge' is popular due to its natural shade.
There are no separate restrooms near Chunghyo Bridge, so it’s best to enjoy a brief visit to play in the water rather than staying for long periods.
Along the 'Solnaemunuri Trail', you will find several delightful restaurants and cozy cafes where you can enjoy delicious meals and desserts after your refreshing time in the valley.
This weekend, why not take your loved ones and children to the Changneungcheon 'Solnaemunuri Trail' and experience a charming retreat reminiscent of visiting a countryside grandmother's house?
Thank you.
