These days, words like artificial intelligence, energy, and power demand are frequently seen in the news and on social media.

I recently attended the Osong NEO Energy Fair, where it's easy to encounter such future trends and energy-related news.

The event took place at Cheongju OSCO from Wednesday, July 8 to Friday, July 10.

On the last day, there was a public lecture in the form of a science talk concert that was easy for everyone to understand.

I visited on the first day of the Osong NEO Energy Fair, and I noticed that it wasn't just companies attending; many general public and students interested in next-generation energy also came in groups.

This year, the Osong Energy Fair, held at OSCO, was the largest in the central region. Thanks to OSCO, parking was not a concern, and the closest parking lot was right by the entrance.

▶ Event Dates: Wednesday, July 8 - Friday, July 10, 2026

▶ Opening Hours: 10 AM - 5 PM (last entry at 4:30 PM)

▶ Exhibition Venue: Cheongju OSCO Exhibition Hall, Halls 1-2

Pre-registration allows free entry, and on-site registration is also available.

Upon entry, you can either scan a QR code received via KakaoTalk at a kiosk or enter your phone number to retrieve a sticker with your name on it.

You can then attach the sticker to your name tag and wear it upon entry.

The NEO Energy Fair, organized by North Chungcheong Province and Cheongju City, featured participation from over 100 companies and institutions, making it a large-scale event where the general public can receive valuable information about future energy.

Inside the venue, you might think that the NEO Energy Fair would only cover business aspects between companies, but that's not the case.

Upon entering, you can see how Cheongju City and North Chungcheong Province plan their current energy-related projects.

The fair focuses on key areas like carbon neutrality and energy transition, showcasing future eco-friendly energy technologies such as solar power, hydrogen, energy storage systems (ESS), and next-generation batteries.

You can also learn how various companies operate, and I noticed a significant presence of hydrogen energy-related businesses.

As someone interested in these topics, I found the fair engaging and informative.

There were also event zones and giveaways, making it an exciting visit for students and general attendees seeking future career paths.

The event zone featured simple games with prizes, and each booth offered small surveys or tasks for visitors to receive gifts.

The event zone was a popular corner where anyone could easily participate in quizzes and mini-games, receiving fun and cute prizes.

Experiments and demonstrations by the Korea Electric Power Corporation were particularly enjoyable, and the giveaways were quite useful.

Overall, this was my second visit to the fair at OSCO, and I felt that recent large-scale exhibitions have become more accessible to the general public, focusing on awareness and education.

The event provided a great opportunity to see the trends in energy-related businesses and technologies.

Attending seminars and conferences was also beneficial, providing a great opportunity for those interested in the field.

The fair showcased a variety of technologies, from solar power to hydrogen energy and smart grids, all easily accessible in North Chungcheong.

Instead of reading complex professional literature, attending related conferences on-site proved to be a valuable experience.
