Exploring Dodori Park: A Rural Themed Playground

Dodori Park, located in Jochiwon-eup, is a rural-themed park equipped with various children's play facilities.
It serves as a space for citizens to recognize the value and importance of rural resources and to promote their preservation.
The name 'Dodori' is derived from the representative fruits of Jochiwon: peach (도) and pear (리), reflecting the abundance of peach and pear orchards in the area.
The park features indoor and outdoor play facilities, including a play tower, zip line, and sand playground for children.
Dodori Park is divided into three zones: Rural Experience Zone, Dodori Adventure Zone, and Orchard Experience Zone.
At the entrance, you will find the Dodori Park sign.
In the center of the park is a small pond called Sinheungji, perfect for a leisurely stroll.
The building across the pond houses the Rural Experience Zone.
After the recent rain, water droplets are beautifully resting on the lotus leaves.
There are swing chairs around the pond, ideal for relaxing while enjoying the view.
In Dodori Plaza, there is a crescent moon photo zone that looks lovely at night with its lights.
Inside the building, there is an indoor playground open daily from 10:00 AM to 6:30 PM (until 6:00 PM in winter), closed on Mondays.
Children play in the playground while adults enjoy tea or read books in the café.
The indoor playground is designed as a tower called 'Peach Tree Tower.'
Next to Dodori Plaza, there's a bare-foot experience area for those who enjoy walking barefoot.
The Adventure Zone features two outdoor play facilities for children.
The first facility is Dodori Village, where beautiful Lagerstroemia flowers bloom.
On the hill with the peach experience zone, there's a lovely pavilion offering a great view of Jochiwon-eup.
Next to the pavilion is the second outdoor playground, the Historical Experience Playground, where children can learn about inventions by the Joseon scientist Jang Yeong-sil.
In the playground, there are models of a rain gauge and sundial to help children learn.
Just below the playground, there are two mini zip lines that are very popular with kids.
Today, the zip line operation has been paused due to the rain.
Safety rules should be followed when using the mini zip line.
Dodori Park allows visitors to experience peaches and pears in the Orchard Experience Zone.
Currently, the peaches are ripening nicely, which children would surely love to see.
The pear experience zone features pears that bloom around the same time as peaches but grow much slower, harvested in the fall.
It seems that actual harvesting experiences are not offered, but just enjoying the sights makes a visit to Dodori Park worthwhile.
How about enjoying playtime and orchard experiences with your children at Dodori Park?
