Welcome!

In the vibrant month of June, a special festival dedicated to thinking about our planet was held in Goyang City.

On Saturday, June 20th, the Environmental Day 2026 celebration, titled "Small Hands, Big Impact," took place at the Goyang Flower Exhibition Center.

This event was filled with energy as Goyang citizens and children came together to actively participate in environmental protection.

Small hands gathered to create great value, and we are excited to introduce you to this festival.

The program, "Make Your Own Toy," was designed for 60 elementary school students from Goyang City, and registration was conducted on a first-come, first-served basis.

Due to the meaningful and beneficial nature of the program, there was significant interest during the registration period.

As a parent, I wanted my child to experience upcycling education, breathing new life into discarded plastic toys.

I eagerly awaited the event day!

Finally, the day of the event arrived!

With excitement, we arrived at the Goyang Flower Exhibition Center.

Before participating in the hands-on activities, we also had the opportunity to explore the opening ceremony of the festival.

Booths provided engaging environmental stories, such as "Sorting Waste" and "Tidal Forest Tales" from the Janghang Wetland, tailored to children's understanding.

There were many booths that made environmental topics easy and fun for the kids.

As we moved through the various booths, we engaged in enriching experiences and listened to short, friendly explanations from the instructors about the importance of environmental protection.

At last, the main program, "Make Your Own Toy," began!

Each table was equipped with tools for children to safely work with, and the atmosphere was filled with anticipation.

Before diving into the crafting, the instructor kindly explained the impact of discarded plastic toys on the planet and how they could be transformed into amazing creations.

Every time examples were shown, curious exclamations from the children filled the room.

One area of the experience space featured a "Large Materials Table" where kids could select materials they liked.

Colorful and various shapes of plastic pieces, once considered waste, were waiting for the children's creativity.

As the children donned their gloves and began to unleash their imagination, they carefully experimented with gears and small plastic parts.

Even though their hands were clumsy, their determination to protect the Earth was commendable.

At the end of the focused crafting time, unique upcycled toys were completed.

These wonderful creations, made from various robot and car parts, were hard to believe as they had once been discarded plastic pieces.

The Environmental Day 2026 celebration successfully instilled the value of "plastic recycling" and "carbon neutrality" in our children through fun activities.

We hope that the small actions taken by these children today will gather strength to protect the "Earth of the Future."

We extend our gratitude to Goyang City and the Goyang Carbon Neutral Support Center for providing such meaningful educational and festive opportunities.

We look forward to more enriching and abundant Environmental Day events next year!
