Visit Jincheon Dodang Park: A Tribute to Our Heroes

Today, in honor of June, the month of national defense and veterans, we would like to introduce Jincheon Dodang Park, located in Jincheon-eup, Jincheon-gun, Chungcheongbuk-do. This park serves as a place to remember and express gratitude to the brave individuals who sacrificed and dedicated themselves to protect our country in the past.
For those visiting Jincheon Dodang Park by car, you can search for the address 41-100, Gyoseong-ri, Jincheon-eup, Jincheon-gun on your navigation system. It is located about a 3-minute drive from Jincheon County Hall. There is also a spacious free parking area at the entrance of the park, so you don't have to worry about parking.
If you are using public transportation, take bus number 240 from the SinYang 4-cha bus stop (approximately a 3-minute ride) and get off at the Chungongtap bus stop. From there, it’s just a leisurely 1-minute walk to the park.
Jincheon Dodang Park is equipped with various memorial facilities dedicated to expressing gratitude to the heroes who sacrificed for our nation. Every June, during the month of national defense and veterans, many visitors come to the park to honor the sacrifices made by the fallen heroes for our country and people.
Within the memorial facilities of Jincheon Dodang Park, visitors can take a moment to reflect on the spirit of national defense and the noble sacrifices made by the veterans. The term 'national defense and veterans' carries profound meaning. 'National defense' signifies protecting the country, while 'veterans' refers to honoring their contributions. To commemorate this, the Ministry of Veterans Affairs has designated June as the month of national defense and veterans.
The Chungongtap within Jincheon Dodang Park is a place where the spirits of the fallen heroes who sacrificed for the nation and people are honored. Visitors can pay their respects with a bow and express their gratitude. Next to the Chungongtap, there is a memorial hall dedicated to the Jincheon-born heroes who fought valiantly for our country, allowing us to express our thanks once more.
