Hello!

This weekend, I visited Starfield Goyang and encountered a special event.

It was the ‘2026 Gyeonggi-do Better Consumption Festival in Goyang’.

At Starfield Goyang, where I usually shop, I had the opportunity to meet various products from social economy enterprises.

I was also able to enjoy experiences and events, which made it even more appealing.

This event was organized by Gyeonggi-do and the Gyeonggi Social Economy Center to expand the market for social economy organizations and promote 'value consumption' to consumers.

It attracted a lot of attention from many consumers visiting Starfield Goyang over the weekend.

The festival took place from September 11 to 13 at the Central Atrium of Starfield Goyang.

The festival showcased a variety of products, including food, household items, and handmade goods.

It was not just an event for selling products, but also designed to encourage thinking about social value through consumption.

During the three days of the festival, various performances, including invited singers and magic shows, were held daily at 2 PM.

On Saturday, the opening ceremony was also conducted, attended by many dignitaries, including the mayor of Goyang.

A total of 26 booths participated in this festival.

While the term 'social economy enterprise' might sound complicated, I found many products that are closer to our daily lives than expected.

Buying 'good products' can lead to the growth of businesses and new market opportunities for someone, positively impacting the local community.

What made this event even more meaningful was that part of the sales revenue from the products consumed goes to the 'Love Fruit' initiative in Gyeonggi, contributing back to the community.

The 'everyday consumption' of buying what I need and choosing products I like can lead to sharing for the local community.

This aligns well with the event's name, 'Better Consumption'.

Additionally, there were fun games like 'Catch the Jackpot' using a cat character and bingo games at the event booths, which delighted families visiting with their children.

Although this event wrapped up after three days, it prompted us to think beyond 'what to buy' to 'what kind of consumption to engage in'.

I hope such events continue to bring good products from social economy enterprises closer to consumers, allowing them to experience valuable consumption without hesitation.

Thank you.
