Support for Electric Vehicle Adoption in Sinan County

Starting with additional support for island residents
and expanding charging infrastructure!
Sinan County aims to alleviate the economic burden on residents
and create a clean, eco-friendly transportation environment.
In the second half of 2026, we will implement the third phase of the electric vehicle subsidy program.
This program will be announced at the end of July, with applications starting in early August.
Applications can be submitted through the integrated website for zero-emission vehicles.
Eligible applicants will be selected based on the order of vehicle release and registration.
Who can apply?
Individuals aged 18 or older or corporations/institutions with a registered address in Sinan County for three months prior to the application date can apply.
If you wish to purchase an electric vehicle, you must sign a purchase contract at a car dealership before applying for the subsidy.
Additional support for island residents!
Residents of islands, who face relatively inconvenient transportation conditions, will receive an additional subsidy of 2 million won per vehicle when purchasing a new electric vehicle.
We have enhanced the practical benefits to ensure residents can use eco-friendly vehicles more conveniently.
Charging infrastructure will also be expanded!
Along with the increased distribution of electric vehicles, we will improve charging convenience.
Sinan County plans to analyze charging demand and usage by town and village,
and gradually expand electric vehicle charging facilities in key areas.
We will continuously expand charging infrastructure to create an environment where all residents can conveniently use electric vehicles.
Next year, we will strengthen the support system.
Due to the constraints of this year's supplementary budget, it is difficult to significantly increase the subsidy amount,
but we will proceed with the second half of the program without any issues and reflect additional subsidies in next year's budget.
Through this, we aim to establish a top-tier electric vehicle support system in the Jeonnam Gwangju Integrated Special City.
Sinan County will continue to promote electric vehicle purchase support and charging infrastructure expansion,
and will strive to build an eco-friendly transportation system and enhance residents' convenience.
We appreciate your interest and participation in Sinan County's steps towards a clean future!
