Shinan County Youth Participation Committee's Policy Proposals
On July 24th, the Shinan County Youth Participation Committee held its 3rd regular meeting for 2026 at the Shinan Family Center.
The meeting aimed to gather youth voices and discover policies that reflect their needs.
Sixteen youth committee members attended the meeting to propose policies directly addressing the needs of the community and youth.
Through themed discussions and presentations, they shared diverse opinions in a meaningful setting.
The policies proposed by the youth included:
☑️ Cultural and Artistic Voucher Program for Rural Youth
☑️ Establishment of Study Cafés in Shinan County
☑️ Adjustment of Public Bus Schedules for School Commutes
☑️ Additional Policy Proposals to Enhance Youth Living Conditions and Welfare
This meeting was particularly significant as it allowed youth to actively engage in addressing local issues and proposing solutions.
Shinan County is committed to ensuring that the voices of young people become part of policy-making.
The county plans to continue expanding opportunities for youth to participate in various activities and communicate actively with the community.
Furthermore, Shinan County will actively support the incorporation of youth opinions into actual government policies.
Efforts will also be made to promote youth rights and cultivate a healthy culture of participation.
What is the Youth Participation Committee?
The Youth Participation Committee operates under the Youth Basic Act and serves as a platform for youth engagement.
It presents opinions on youth policies and initiatives and carries out various activities to enhance youth rights.
Through regular meetings, campaigns, promotional activities, and exchanges with youth committees from other regions, the committee spreads a culture of youth participation.
Shinan County will continue to listen carefully to even the smallest opinions of youth and strive to create policies and a future together with them.
