Welcome to the "Purple Aster Chrysanthemum Festival" at Gamaksan!

The 6th Gamaksan Flower Festival will be held until October 11, 2026, showcasing the beautiful scenery of purple aster chrysanthemums alongside wind turbines.

This festival takes place at Starwind Hill, located at an elevation of about 900 meters. Enjoy a healing day surrounded by various autumn flowers, including asters and Korean chrysanthemums.

Seeing it in person is truly breathtaking!

At Starwind Hill, the festival center features a 5-hectare field of purple aster chrysanthemums. You can admire the exotic landscape formed by giant wind turbines and mountain ridges. There’s also a slow mail service where you can write letters to receive next year.

Near the aster colony, there is a 4-hectare site of white Korean chrysanthemums. Here, you can also encounter various autumn flowers like wild bellflower and mugwort, offering a different charm compared to the asters.

For visitors who want a more comfortable viewing experience, a 3.8 km long deck road has been established. It includes three observation points, making it easy to walk and enjoy the flowers and scenery up close.

There’s also a flower market where you can find various local delicacies and products.

During the festival period, from September 18 to October 11, 2026, you can visit from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM.

Shuttle buses will run every 10 minutes from the Gochang Advanced General Industrial Complex, starting at 7:00 AM, with the last departure at 4:30 PM. Return buses will be available at 6:30 PM.

The festival site at Starwind Hill has an entry fee (3,000 KRW for shuttle bus users, free for Gochang residents).

Experience the joy of taking beautiful photos and enjoy a day filled with happiness as visitors share smiles throughout the festival.

Come and visit Gochang during this beautiful autumn season!
