One of the most beautiful places to experience autumn in Geochang is undoubtedly the Gamak Mountain Wind Farm, where the Flower Star Festival is taking place.
The Gamak Mountain Flower Star Festival runs from September 18 to October 11.
Unlike last year, this year features a reservation system and shuttle bus service, making it easy to ascend and descend to the summit of Gamak Mountain.
If you haven't made a reservation, you can use the shuttle bus that operates every 5-10 minutes starting from 7 AM.

The shuttle bus fare is 3,000 KRW, while residents of Geochang can ride for free (valid ID required).
Friends living in Geochang can ride for free, while those from other areas pay 3,000 KRW to board the shuttle bus.
The shuttle bus takes about 15-20 minutes to reach the summit, but be aware that on holidays and weekends, long lines can form for tickets.
Completing the stamp event at the Gamak Mountain Flower Star destination allows you to receive a gift at the main office (5 stamps or more).
The beautiful purple waves of asters create a stunning backdrop at the Gamak Mountain Wind Farm, attracting many visitors even on weekdays for memorable photos.
With the wind turbines and the vibrant asters, every spot is perfect for a photo opportunity.
Colorful benches provide resting spots, allowing visitors to relax while capturing memories at the flower festival.
The festival showcases the enchanting beauty of asters and the purity of chrysanthemums, offering breathtaking views from the observation deck.
On clear days, you can see the surrounding mountains, including Wolyeosan and Hwangmaesan.
This year, the festival is more beautifully decorated than ever, providing a serene atmosphere to enjoy.
After exploring the scenic area of asters and chrysanthemums, our group enjoyed a stroll along the barrier-free sharing path.
Walking leisurely along this path takes about an hour, while a brisk walk may take around 30-40 minutes.
I highly recommend visiting the Gamak Mountain Flower Star Festival, a famous autumn travel destination in Geochang.
