Have you heard of the Hanwoo specialty restaurant, Saseok Hanwoo Village, located in Saseok-ri, Jincheon-eup? I visited it after hearing rumors about its delicious yukgaejang (spicy beef soup) and its designation as a 'good price restaurant' in Jincheon County.

Saseok Hanwoo Village specializes in Hanwoo beef, particularly from female cows. When you think of a beef restaurant, the prices can often feel intimidating. However, out of curiosity, I decided to check it out after learning about its reasonable pricing.

The restaurant has a spacious parking lot, making it convenient for those driving. There is ample parking both at the entrance and inside the restaurant, which is great for groups.

As a designated 'good price restaurant,' I was initially skeptical about the affordability of the menu items. However, after looking through the menu, I was pleasantly surprised to find a variety of meals offered at great value.

Saseok Hanwoo Village opens at 10:30 AM. We arrived shortly after opening for a brunch and were pleased to find we could start our meal right away. Do note that the restaurant is closed every Monday. The interior was more spacious than expected, with plenty of tables suitable for families and group gatherings.

The menu features a diverse selection, starting from 15,000 won for Hanwoo beef bulgogi set to options like yukgaejang, galbitang (beef rib soup), and seolleongtang (ox bone soup), all under 10,000 won. The fact that they use domestic Hanwoo beef makes these prices even more impressive.

If you're in the mood for grilled beef, you can utilize the adjacent Saseok Butcher Shop, which directly sources Hanwoo beef from a farm. After purchasing meat there, you can bring it to the restaurant and pay an additional 3,000 won per person for grilling.

After hearing about their yukgaejang, we decided to order it. The side dishes served with our meal were neat and complemented the soup well. We received three types of kimchi, which paired beautifully with the soup, and a sweet potato dish for dessert.

Finally, our much-anticipated yukgaejang arrived. On chilly days like this, a warm soup is just what you need. The bubbling stew in the earthenware pot looked incredibly appetizing, and I was delighted to find it packed with meat. The spicy broth was rich, and the generous portions of vegetables and noodles made it a fulfilling meal.

I typically mix rice into my soup, and while I initially worried about the portion size, I ended up finishing it all. The combination of the spicy soup with the crunchy side dishes made every bite enjoyable. Eating the warm yukgaejang on a cold day was comforting and satisfying.

After our meal, we settled the bill using a local payment option, which offers cashback benefits. This is a great opportunity to enjoy good food at even better prices.

Saseok Hanwoo Village is a perfect stop when exploring local attractions in Jincheon, such as the birthplace of Kim Yu-shin and Manroe Mountain Ecological Park. If you're craving a warm soup at an affordable price, make sure to visit Saseok Hanwoo Village!
